When I was in grad school i read a book every 2-3 days.

When you *guys get real jobs you'll understand why reading for pleasure is almost an impossible task.

Close her up. This thread had a short shelf life. I'm actually quite proud of the main thread. Has pretty good discussions, especially compared to the main Cavs threads.... And it stays pretty active too. Aside from a few careless posters it stays relatively spoiler free too :chuckles:

I have a real job and I read all the time. I read during my lunch hour. I read during my once-a-day poop trip. I try to read for at least thirty minutes before I go to bed, provided the girlfriend isn't staying over.

It's not really that difficult to read for pleasure when you have a job, unless of course you have one of those terrible jobs that makes you work more than forty hours a week.

ITT: Only people without jobs read books.

Hey book readers, maybe we should just avoid this thread and let people enjoy the story we love so much without harassment.

Wow. Grad school for me was much harder than a 9-5. You must have studied something weak. I had to read so many scientific papers, books were an afterthought.

If you really loved the story that much, you'd read the books that actually contain it all in full detail. :chuckles:

But how are we supposed to show how much better we are than the people who watch the show?

That's what i did after watching the first three seasons. I read them all this summer and its one of the best decisions i have ever made, and the first books i have read in years.

That doesn't mean that i was undeserving of spoiler protection a year ago, or that i have somehow elevated to a new plane of existence since reading the books and can now justifiably torment those below me.

They've made their own thread specifically so they can theorize and discuss on their own. You no longer need to argue about whether your posts are spoilers or not, because any story related post from you or i in here is a spoiler, plain and simple.

If you love the story so much i don't understand why you want to besmirch the experience for others.

book reader master race> show watching peasants

I haven't been doing that, at least not in my opinion. I put spoiler tags around major spoilers. I'm not going to not talk about the books in a thread that is meant to talk about both the books and the show, and I'm not going to put spoilers in this thread, at least not from episodes that haven't aired (I think anything up to the most recent episode is fair game, though). I'm not really sure why you're getting all uppity about it. We've mostly just been joking around in this thread.

Oh come on we aren't 3rd graders here. I read the books too, let them have a thread that's spoiler (and troll) free. I know I'd be pissed too if I was in their shoes and I was trying to discuss a tv show where I hadn't read the source material and a bunch of little Robert Arryns on the Internet intentionally (or unintentionally in Corey's case) ruined it for me.

They made their own thread, let them use it in peace.

Starting a company = 60-70 hours, easily. That part sucks. I love reading. I'll read on vacation (always pack 3 books - can't do kindle).
