**** Ohio State vs. Navy**** 9/5/09

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
USC is going to dominate us again...badly.

Maybe Tress will decided to actually fire the coordinators this time, instead of ANOTHER year with Heacock and Bowman.

i don't mean to throw things off topic here, but....

check out ESPN 2, minnesota vs. syracuse tied at 20, 51 seconds.

ex-duke PG Greg Paulus gets his chance to drive and win in his first game as a college QB

well that was quick, short pass and a sack and it's goin to OT

I mean look at the major mistakes today, they were both Coaching :

1. Substituting QB's because we thought the game was in control apparently, killing momentum and costing us a red-zone touchdown

2. Going for it on 4th instead of kicking the Field Goal, then Kicking off. First play after the 4th down failure is the 85 yard TD. I mean, thats potentially 21 points on just 2-3 plays. Need to clean this stuff up if they even want a chance next week.

Same Ol' Stone Age Tressel.

OSU is rolling, Pryor is slicing them up and for some reason here comes Joe Bauserman. Because lord knows we cant get enough Joe Bauserman and in the 2nd quarter no less. There was no reason to put the 2nd string QB in the game with just a 10pt lead in the 2nd quarter. It is no surpise the offense came out flat in the 2nd half because their rhythm had been completely thrown off. I'm will safely assume coaches named Stoops, Carroll and Meyer wouldnt have done what Tressel did.

Then in the 2nd half, especially after Navy stomps down the field in a 15 play 99yd drive against Tressel's precious defense. Tressel puts the clamps on Pryor and turns it into the Poof Herron and Brandon Saine show.

Entering the 4th quarter Pryor had thrown just 2 passes in the 2nd half after sitting the final 7minutes of the 2nd quarter. Way to get your developing QB reps with USC approaching Coach Sweater Vest.

And you wonder why there were 3 second half drops.

Pryor looks improved. His mechanics are better so he is accuracy is better which allows him to throw the ball into small windows which he did several times today.

The OL still stinks. They couldnt push Navy's front 7 off the ball despite outweighing them by an average of almost 40lbs. OSU, without Beanie Wells, cant run between the tackles and that will eventually spell doom.

Poof Herron is an average back with stiff hips and almost no wiggle. Saine is probably more talented but I dont think he is tough enough to run between the tackles if there were actually any holes.

This offense should be about Pryor's arm and Pryor's feet. Running Herron up the middle on consecutive plays in the red zone isn't playing to your strength or utilizing the talent on hand.

Where are the stars on defense? Where is the Malcolm Jenkins in the secondary? Where is the Laurinaitis at LB? I like Gibson and Hayward on the DL but if Ross Holman is arguably your 2nd best defensive player you have issues.

Anderson Russell.....:shakehead

The defensive backs as a group are soft again and overall I dont see a whole lot of elite speed. Navy skill players shouldnt be consistently beating the Buckeyes to the outside.

Tressel's philosophy and approach isnt conducive to winning championships in this day and age and I was a big Tressel supporter but I dont see the necessary changes needed for OSU to compete on the national level being made.

USC is going to curb stomp them next week.

Pryor waived off the kicking unit on that 4th down.

But I guess you can say it's Tressel's fault for letting a moron make a decision for him

Cmon. Pryor didnt call that shit running play up the middle and you know that.

While I agree with almost everything, where is our Laurinaitis? I'm sorry, but we need a lot better than that bum who got lucky to be surrounded by great talent.

I'm wondering where our A.J Hawk is...And why the hell Rolle was starting over Sabino.

You catch my drift though......

We kicked their asses.
Next victim! :D

agreed.

they need to let TP THROW THE BALL! but it doesn't help that our WRs aren't anything special

no more of these shit 2 yard runs up the middle

i think we will play well against USC....and win

Duron Carter made some really nice catches....kid is the truth

I understand playing Joe Bauserman because Pryor could get hurt and we would then need someone to come in but if Joe Bauserman is having to start we are fucked.

Duron Carter will definitely be a stud...IF we throw the ball.

And I understand being upset that Pryor said to go for it, but he is not the coach. That is 100% Tressel's call. And the play call was the big problem, along with the defense.

Secondary is very, very suspect.

Exactly. If Pryor gets hurt then the season is pretty much over anyway. We already need him to be extra ordinary as a sophomore to even win the Big Ten, let alone a BCS game. I just don't see any point in putting in Bauserman and ruining our first teams flow and confidence.

This isn't a situation like last season when you had an incumbent starter and a stud backup behind him on his heels. Bauserman is not taking Pryor's job anytime soon, whereas last year you knew it was just a matter of time before Pryor got the call.
