Open Discussion (Cavs + related issues)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Can’t believe we start this all again tomorrow - I’m so freaking hyped.

11pm my time right now which means we’re 12 hours away. 12 hours from the chaos, the madness, the beauty, the euphoria. 12 hours away from another push towards the Larry O. 12 hours away from the beginning of another date with destiny.

Every single season since LeBron’s been back, we’ve been both blessed and cursed with some unforgettable storylines. I’m sure this season will be no different and I can’t wait to see how it all unfolds.

See you all then for another unforgettable leg to this Cedar Point roller coaster!

Haven’t seen this mentioned but apparently we were interested in splitter before signing perk in the offseason.

Splitter used to be an impactful player on the Spurs. Adequate defender both covering the PnR and in the post, also a good passer and is crafty around the rim. However he doesn't really protect the rim too much, is a sub-par rebounder because of the short arms.

I know a lot of people feel differently, but this is the least excited I've been for a season since before LeBron returned.
I'm pretty much with you on this one. I think people are kidding themselves thinking this season is going to be much (or any) different than the past three seasons. This team largely still isn't going to give a fuck in the regular season, will be lazy and careless at times. Lose a handful of games they have no business losing. All in all there will be around 10 fun games. Same old story. Only thing we might not see this time is moody LeBron since Wade is here, but who knows.

Of course majority of the fans are sucked into believing this team will win 60+ games, LeBron will win MVP, etc. Then they'll freak out and overreact around January (as always) and say stupid shit again like "this team won't get past the 2nd round." Cavs will proceed to sleepwalk to The Finals, again, and probably lose to the Warriors, again. (Unless IT is at least as good as he was last year and/or we make a big move at the deadline).

/spoiler

With that said, I'm still looking forward to it because the Browns are fucking pathetic and the Indians collapse was just sad. I also look forward to seeing how this team looks whenever they decide to start playing for real. Especially looking forward to seeing all the new guys, even though I anticipate struggles throughout the season incorporating them.

Kevin Love?!
Had a subpar game..then calmly knocks down a 3 to seal the victory!

Big Offensive rebound + 2 FT's just before to keep it tight as well.

Everyone outside of LBJ is going to have games when they are not featured as much as they would like. They need to keep the ball moving, cut hard and work for the best shot, have high hopes for the second unit this year, almost need LBJ to take a step back and let the likes of Wade/Rose breathe a little.

Team looked a little better defensively and a little worse shooting the 3 ball

Otherwise, same ole same ole

My first thought was I really wish we got Brown or Tatum in the trade..

Lue’s rotations looked completely random tonight. And I am discouraged we seem to have no idea how to best utilize certain players such as Love, JR, Korver... our elite shooting was a no show tonight.

Lot of work to do.

LBJ/Wade/Crowder/JR/Love

This should be our starting 5.

Rose first off the bench for Wade.

Wade runs the 2nd unit, and limit Rose's minutes. Rose is only useful if he's going 100% balls to the wall.

Green bum

Wade offensively looked out of it

They seem to forget love had some fat slow white guy guarding him
