I wish we tried to get Marcus Smart or Rozier instead of the 2nd round pick. Both are good defensively and would have taken over Shump's role.

Yea I really thought we were at least getting Rozier once trade talks stalled.

I just wish Lue would manage LeBron's minutes this season... 1st game not a good start 40+ minutes coming off a bad ankle... geez, he needs to figure out a way to lessen his minutes specially with all the offseason acquisition the Cavs had, a decent coach would do so...

Ainge will never trade Rozier.
I don't know what this means. If Wade is starting and Rose comes in for Wade, how is Wade running the second unit. I've read the whole thing a few times and still can't figure out what you meant.
Rose would come in 4 minutes or so into the game for Wade. Then Wade comes back into the game with the bench guys is my guess. But not entirely sure

Exactly. Wade starts and finishes games with LBJ. In between he spends a large part of his minutes running the second unit.
And then LBJ subs in for Wade to run with the second unit for a short while. Then all starters return to the floor. Rose is the loser in this equation. At a team worst -7 in the +/-, I would say it's justified.
Of course, this is all based on 1 game--so it's just a spitball idea.

Not really. I think we saw flashes of very good team defense.
The turnovers were the problem, among other things.
LBJ/Wade/JR/Crowder/Love or TT could very well be monstrous on defense.
Sorry im just watching the warriors game and im just picturing a massacre if they play this team

Then it's a good thing we don't play a series against golden state for another 6+ months and that we get to add an all star pg to the current team.
No need to play LBJ in the first half. Lue is the biggest problem on this team
Wade needs to come off the bench and I think LBJ and Wade will be smart enough to see it eventually. Wade would be awesome off the bench and would eat up the other teams #2 point
JR needs to start, cannot have both JR and Korver on the bench. Korver would spell JR and thankfully playing vs the other teams #2 team
A bench of Wade, TT, Green, Korver, Frye in situations is pretty damn good
People are going both ways on Rose, I thought he was fine, like him always attacking the rim
Problem on offense is always the GOAT, he just slows things down to a crawl. Whole second half....dribble, dribble jack up a three. That last series, we are up 3, drive the ball to the hoop and get fouled or post up and get fouled. Irvings last shot should have never meant anything
Oh, and some tell Green that he is allowed to pass the ball to someone once he gets it
