If the refs were making calls favoring the home team, I get that; but they were not. The game 1 refs heavily slanted calls in favor of the Celtics. LeBron was getting hammered before as a Cav without calls (think the 2007 Detroit series, games 1 and 2) and then he went to Miami and touch fouls were called when he went to the lane. Now that he's returned to Cleveland, he again gets hammered with no calls. Why?

lebron didn't get any calls in Miami:chuckle: Dude lived in the paint and barely got the amount of FT's people like Durant were getting while being perimeter based. A post I remember seeing mid season 2013

FTA/gm

Harden 9.8
Durant 9.1
Kobe 8.0
Love 7.9
Anthony 7.9
Westbrook 6.8
Lebron 6.3

Durant: 1390 FGA (325 3PA), 730 FTA, 513 fouls drawn,
LeBron: 1332 FGA (253 3PA), 519 FTA, 428 fouls drawn,

FGA 5 feet or less:
LeBron: 563 FGA
Durant: 365 FGA

Here's what's crazier. Compare Lebron to himself

FGA 5 feet or less:

2004: 558
2005: 586
2006: 707
2007: 592
2008: 652
2009: 569
2010: 546
2011: 533
2012: 437
2013: 563

FTA:

2004: 460
2005: 636
2006: 814
2007: 701
2008: 771
2009: 762
2010: 773
2011: 663
2012: 502
2012: 519

FTA/FGA Ratio

2004: 0.82
2005: 1.09
2006: 1.15
2007: 1.18
2008: 1.18
2009: 1.34
2010: 1.42
2011: 1.24
2012: 1.15
2013: 0.92

He's driving more frequently this season than he has since 2010. It's not even a debate, the drive was not even a facet of his game in 2011, and last year it was common against awful defenses that frequently left a gaping hole open in the lane but that's about it. This season is easily the best he's looked physically since coming to Miami, and yet, for the only time since his rookie season, that ratio has fallen under 1.0.

These explain a lot of the disparity between Melo and Harden/Durant. As far as Lebron goes- :dontknow:

There won't be a two minute report. The game wasn't within 5 points in the last 2 minutes. Closest the Celts got was 6.

Didnt realize this... Such shit.

So much fun tidbits about NBA refs. For example, "Born in the Philadelphia suburb Havertown, Pennsylvania, Donaghy attended Cardinal O'Hara High School in Springfield, Pennsylvania[4] along with three other NBA referees: Joe Crawford, Mike Callahan, and Ed Malloy.[10] " Tim Donaghy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Now, why would four refs all attend the same high school? Crawford also pled guilty to tax evasion and had those issues with Duncan.

It would be nice if the NBA explained how refs are assigned. Randomly? Deliberately?

Still nothing there, nada, zilch. Too embarrassing?

See post 77.

They only release two minute reports of the game was within five points at the two minute mark. I didn't realize this restriction. I thought they did it for all games.

For the record, Tony Brothers is right back out there tonight in the Dal/Hou game.... SMH

They only eliminate refs in between the rounds. Guaranteed he won't be reffing any further rounds these playoffs.

Well eliminating him is a little harsh. I just don't want him reffing any more games...

Yes or No?

I actually think she's done a fair job in the games I've see her.
Totally agree. I think some of that is the fact that she's new and a woman, so she knows she's being heavily scrutinized (even more that refs normally are). She makes good and safe calls. Maybe some of the other guys who have been referees for so long don't feel that same pressure.
