Playoff Positioning

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Can't wait to play the Hawks. Going to be an ECF preview.

Hawks have the upper hand on teams in these regular season matchups.. Will be interesting how Blatt approaches this game.

Will the Cavaliers be prepared?

On top of that, the Hawks are on a winning streak of their own and became the first team in the NBA to clinch a playoff spot.

I've got a good feeling, though. Cavs almost beat them the last time in Atlanta. I think they come home Saturday with a win streak intact.

I'd much rather have the 3 or 4 seed than the 2 seed. Miami or Indiana are way tougher outs than Washington and Milwaukee.

You've got to think Golden State is dreading the fact that they're staring down a first round matchup with OKC (as it currently stands).

Or the Spurs, which is probably more likely at this point.

@Nightperson if you're going to disagree with so many posts, at least have the balls to come and say why you disagree with it. Giving a disagree rating and saying nothing as to why you disagree pisses people off and does nothing.

As for this post, I disagree. You always want the highest seed possible for home court situations. Especially if we finish as the 2 seed and Atlanta gets knocked off before the ECF, hosting the ECF would be nice. With LeBron on our team, early round matchups don't mean much.

Don't think GS is very scared of OKC unless Durant is back 100%. Westbrick putting up a -12 +/- against the 76ers isn't scaring anybody.

Westbrook has been a top-4 NBA player this season and a top-2 PG. I think pretty much no team wants to deal with Westbrook in a playoff series.

Miami is fucking horrible. I'd love to stomp their heart out in front of their shitty fans. That series goes 5 games at the absolute max, and that's only if Wade is able to turn the clock back for a game.

I'm mostly afraid of Wade having a big F you series against LeBron. Sports karma is weird that way. Plus Dragic and Whiteside are really really good.

Because +/- is the only stat that matters, right?...

No one wants to see the Thunder in the playoffs let alone the first round. At full health, that team is a really tough out. They're actually my pick to win it all this year.

No one wants to see us either though. The more I watch the Cavs the more I'm convinced we'll cake-walk to the Finals. Unless we run into Chicago...I think they'll be at full strength come playoff time and that team at full strength is right up there with ours in terms of fortitude. I'm confident we can beat any other team in the East but if we run into them and they're healthy I think it's a toss up as far as who'll advance.

Bullshit.

Have you SEEN Miami lately? They battle it out with the likes of the 76ers and Lakers. They're trash, especially without Chris Bosh. Maybe next year they'll be legit (in the EAST), but with their constant in-and-out of lineup situation I doubt it.

Indiana will creep in for a playoff spot but they aren't going anywhere.

By next years time they wont even have Whiteside. He's about to bank.
