need help here..

I was one of the 2% of teams that drafted Edelman (genius, right? - final round of a 16 team league)

After last week, I've considered starting him. It's a PPR league, but I'd have to bench Andre Johnson, DeMarco Murray or Steve Smith to start Edelman. With Amendola out I'm considering it... what would you do

Drafting Edelman in a 16 team league, isnt genious, its almost a necessity.

Guy has three tight ends, but also three good ones. Should use one of them as trade bait to fill in a weakness.

I like Cook this week, but Gonzo should find the endzone pretty much every week for a solid 10 or so points.

RG3 didn't look too good last week, but I'll toss it up to rust. He actually looked better in the 2nd half, but I still think you have a few better options right now until we all see how well the Redskins offense runs this upcoming week.

I agree, go with Edelman. With limited options for Brady, he'll be throwing his way throughout the game. Don't be afraid to start Boldin, though. While Seattle has a nasty secondary, Boldin is a proven veteran that can find holes and get open. Only problem is if the Seahawks play man-to-man he'll struggle. But with tightend Vernon Davis out there running wild you almost have to play zone to keep him from beating you underneath.

Still, if I were you I'd rock Edelman.

MJD will get going sooner or later, I don't expect the same type of numbers we've seen in years past but I do see him getting respectable numbers as the season goes forward.

As far as that trade.. Reject it. Adrian Peterson can get you much high value, and I love Boldin.. But I'm not too high on Spiller. If you want to trade Peterson, grab Calvin Johnson from somebody and make them throw in a decent back to boot.

Johnson, Cruz, and AJ Green.. Who can stop you?

I'm thinking of countering the trade with Spiller and Richardson for AP and Chris Ivory. :chuckles: Who here would do that move from my point of view? It's always tough to give up the best player in a trade, but my only real weakness is RB2 unless MOJO turns it back on,

AP gets 8 in the box every week and every week he produces. No guarantees with TRich or Spiller. MoJo has a different Qb this week, no idea where that will go. Barely any realistic trade I would take for AP. Having AP is almost like starting every week with 20 free points.

As an owner of MJD, I can tell you I'm happy that Henne is taking over. He's a better quarterback than Gabbert.

I agree, the only reason I'm even considering it is I'm concerned with him getting hurt.

Trying to decide between starting Jared Cook @ ATL or Greg Olsen @ BUF? I have Cook in there tentatively, but have been second guessing myself. Any opinions for me?

Jared Cook is an athletic beast and Sam Bradford is a good passer who liked him a lot last week. I would start him as I am Julius Thomas in my league every week until he has a bad streak because they both looked freakish athletes.

On another note, Stevan Ridley is looking like the worst 2nd round pick of all time in both of my leagues :thumbdown.

Well, at least Edelman's 7 was more than Decker could come up with last week. Gordon moves into my #2 receiver slot next week.

General advice for the next two weeks: Find the guy in your league who was most likely to over react to a slow start due to quality opponents and offer a trade for the player who started slowly. I doubt anyone in the RCF league is going to offer me trades anymore so I'll pass that nugget on. You can change from a .500 team to a juggernaut if you find the right sucker this week.

Did that just yesterday. My brother-in-law is a devout Bears fan, so when he missed his first round pick and ended up with Megatron he was kind of let down. I was able to bullshit my way in to trading Sproles, Steve Smith, and Emmanuel Sanders for Calvin and DeAngelo Williams. Now I'm hoping for a big game from DeAngelo this week so I can flip him again :chuckles:

I ended up trading Kaep and Thompkins for Dez and Romo..... and have an offer of Calvin for Ray Rice ( receivers get 1 point per 5 yds and tds are worth 6 for wr)

Advice: I've got Mcfadden, Lacy, and Jones-Drew starting. All have pretty favorable match-ups (Lacy against Washington, Jones-Drew against Oakland, and Mcfadden against Jacksonville). But I've got Frank Gore (probably the best player of the bunch) sitting right now. He's got Seattle, maybe the best D in the league. Should I keep Gore out because of his match-up, or put him in just because he's probably the best of the bunch?

I would keep Gore on the bench this week. As you said Gore going up against the very tough Seattle Defense and it being in Seattle on Sunday night i dont see him having a good game. The QB change in Jacksonville should be good for MJD along with playing the Raiders and McFadden should be very good against the Jags D. I like Lacy this week too. He played pretty good for his 1st game against the Niners and I think GB wins big against Washington so they should run the ball a little more this week.
