Potential destinations for Ramon Sessions

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Sure it's a pipe dream, but that doesn't mean they aren't going to wait.

If we are able to trade sessions, I think we need to get a big in return. We can always get a another pg or sg in the draft or the free agency. I feel that we need that true center once Jaimson is gone and slide anderson back at PF. I am not too impress with the draft class other than Drummond or Anthony Davis. If we are unable to draft them, then we need to get a sg or sf. Also, what are we going to do at pg if we trade sessions? Kyrie is our starter as we all know but who will be his backup? After starting the season with a surplus pg, we will end up very thin at the pg if we make this trade. My question to everyone is what will the Cavs do to get another backup pg?

Ben Fucking Uzoh.

If JKidd is down for another NBA season I'd love to have him here. Some kind of vet signing like that though. Guy like Earl Watson or something. Even if we don't go that route though, PGs are pretty easy to find in the draft. Norris Cole is playing decently enough for Miami and he was the 28th pick.

Saying you want to trade Sessions for a true center is easier said than done. The only true center we would be able to get back for Sessions value-wise is like...that one African guy.

He's averaging 18.3/12/3 as a starter. Granted that's 3 games, but he's showing, given the minutes, he can stuff the stat sheet. I'd wait till March before moving him, and my expectations of his value have gone up considerably. A 25 year old PG putting up those numbers is easily worth a couple of first round picks.

Ahhh man get outta here.lol He did that last year. As a starter ill give him that hes a good player. But as soon as you bring him off the bench he plays like crap. The sad thing is there is no way a team with Ramon Sessions as their starting PG wins a title. Ill say hes worth a late first if your plan is to start him. But if you just want him as a bench player I could justify not wanting to dish out a 1st. Now Andy and Jamison, those guys are worth 1st on ANY team

The lakers could. So could the Heat.

If Antawn Jamison is still worth a 1st rounder to "any team" in your mind then Sessions easily is. Jamison has blown so many great looks Kyrie has sets him up with this season, he is averaging a career low free throw percentage, a career low in rebounds, and plays the definition of matador defense. Oh and he is 35 years old. Thankfully he is an expiring contract which makes him much more moveable and if we are able to pull a first rounder out of Jamison I will be ecstatic, but I think it is much easier said than done right now.

Lakers attend Arenas' workout

Free-agent guard Gilbert Arenas conducted a workout in the Los Angeles area Sunday that was attended by Lakers officials, the three-time All-Star confirmed to SI.com via text message.

Arenas has been working out in Orlando since being cut by the Magic on Dec. 9, when they used their amnesty clause on the 30-year-old who is owed a combined $62 million over the next three seasons.

Sources said he has worked his way into shape and is feeling better than he has in years after having the same platelet-rich therapy treatment conducted on his knees that the Lakers' Kobe Bryant and Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez went through. Arenas also had the procedure done on his hips as a preemptive measure that is often used on athletes who, like Arenas, have a history of knee problems.

Arenas, who averaged between 18.3 and 29.3 points per game from 2002 to 2008, struggled in a reserve role for the Magic after being traded from the Wizards last season. In 49 games, he averaged eight points in 21.8 minutes and shot 34.4 percent from the field and 27.5 percent from three-point range while backing up Jameer Nelson.

For now, Arenas' future is likely to include more two-a-day workouts, handball sessions, open-floor games at a local Orlando YMCA and time spent with his children.

But while some league sources believed that Arenas -- who has the same agent as Orlando's Dwight Howard -- was waiting to possibly join the Magic center at his next destination after a potential trade, he could become a well-timed addition for a Lakers team badly in need of scoring help and guard depth. Los Angeles, which has lost three of five and is 16-12 overall, ranks 21st in scoring (92.7 points), 15th in points per 100 possessions (103.1) and 14th in shooting (44.7 percent).

Yahoo! Sports first reported on the workout.

Arenas workout impresses Lakers

08:07 AM ET 02.13 | Agent Zero remains an intriguing prospect, especially in one of the nation's biggest media markets. In a search to find some scoring for their floundering offense, Los Angeles Lakers officials attended a private workout for guard Gilbert Arenas on Sunday in Southern California, league sources told Yahoo! Sports. Two sources familiar with the workout said Arenas moved well and made a positive impression, but there was no sense of how quickly -- if at all -- the Lakers would pursue signing him to a free-agent contract. ...

The Lakers' coaching staff didn't attend the workout, but coach Mike Brown and star Kobe Bryant have been proponents of giving Arenas a chance to help the team.

All this Arenas talk is bluster in my opinion, because if they actually wanted him, he would have been signed yesterday.

Yep that entire workout was a bluff.

I think people are only commenting on how working out Arenas affects the Cavs possible trade to the Lakers. If people on this board get it, I am pretty sure NBA GM's do. Bluff, whatever, it has an affect on the landscape. Unless you know for a fact they are in love with a guy who has never run an offense, would be old on an already old team, and lacks the athleticism he maybe had back when your typical NBA fan liked him before he went all Grand Theft Auto on the Locker Room (at least his threats were akin to what one might do in GTA, LOL) if they don't sign him this is a blurb, even if they do it's still a footnote. And the wrong move with Fischer and Blake you need someone like sessions not Agent Zero.

If a car dealer won't budge on a price do you simply agree to it, or tell him that beat up Ford at another dealership is something you are considering? Pretending to walk out the door works in any negotiation.
