American Pie: Book of Love - 6.5 / 10 a surprisingly enjoyable movie

Teenage Dirtbag: 6.5 / 10 Totally different movie than book of love, but its a good movie with a good story and acting for a low budget indie film

Went and saw "A Christmas Carol" on 3-D IMAX last night before theaters yanked it for Avatar-fest. It was very enjoyable. The animation was great in some parts (Scrooge) but could've used more detail on the non-essential characters who looked a little artificial (granted, they're all CGI but still...). Jim Carrey was solid. The movie stuck very true to the book, actually taking a lot of dialogue directly from it. There was a random chase scene near the end though which did nothing for me and seemed like a kind of contrived way to dump some action 3-D in your face. Very, very similar feel to the Polar Express.

Overall, it was a fun Christmas movie although I can see why it didn't make a killing in the box office - it was one of the darker versions I've seen and definitely might be too scary in some parts for little kids. Still worth the price of admission but I don't think it would be nearly as fun in 2-D.

7.5/10

Well, first, I said I like and laugh at more than just comedies with fart jokes.. but I still laugh at them from time to time.. I just said that I like more than that & a lil variety..

It wasn't your typical Apatow comedy, and even though it was full of penis jokes, I thought it brought something new & interesting to the table.

I really enjoyed Funny People. You're right it isn't a typical Apatow comedy but I wasn't under the impression it would be anyway. In terms of character depth, this is Apatow's finest work IMHO. It might have been a tad bit drawn-out, but I really enjoyed this one.

Gran Torino 10/10 - This is not even my type of movie but I liked it the whole way through.

Just got back from Avatar in 3D. It is UNREAL, gents. The story is pretty solid, but the graphics/effects/action scenes are basically unlike anything I've seen on the big screen. Its jaw-dropping in that regard.

You really must see this in 3D if at all possible.

7/10...I havent watched this movie in probably 10 years. And i remembered why as soon as Bongo started playing...

State of Play with Russell Crow, Rachel McAdams and Ben Affleck, about Washington conspiracy/affairs/cronyism. Not bad, not gonna blow you away. Washingtonians on this board might like it because they show pretty much the whole city.

Avatar in 3D.

I loved it, but I knew I would because I like pretty much everything Cameron has done.

So....9.5/10

See it in 3D

Avatar - 9.5/10

Visually, this movie was pretty ground breaking and although the plot can be was somewhat preictable, it is still probably one of those movies that will be timeless, imo. For some reason it reminds of the Lion King

500 Days of Summer - 9/10

Awesome movie. Pretty good dialogue, good acting, and it keeps you on your toes. Well made movie, and Zooey Deschenel is fyre

How to Lose Friends and Alienate People - 7.5/10

Pretty funny movie, but the carbon copy ending was a letdown. Megan Fox was smokin' tho

District 9 - 6.5/10

Interesting concept that kept me interested because of it's originality, but overall it isn't anything to write home about. Dialogue and character development is weak, so there's really not much for the audience to relate to. Im guessing there is supposed to be a sequal because of the ending, if not then the ending was just really weak...

Yes Man - 5.5/10

Movie was entertaining in certain spots, but nothing special.

Well I watched Deer Hunter last night. Movie is an absolute classic. Probably 9.6 or something like that.

Also, I watched Christmas Vacation....easily a 10/10

Man, I loved this movie. I thought it was a great story/script, and actually liked the ending.

The ending was okay, but it could've been much better imo... The only thing that justifies it's vagueness to me is, if in 3 years there is a sequel. Maybe it was just the mood I was in at the time, but from what I recall it just left something to be desired.... Maybe I should watch it again(because I did miss the beginning), or maybe it was their intention to leave it open ended like they did (i.e. which is not terrible, but would make more sense if there is a sequal lined up)

Valentine ..... it was so bad that I watch it again ..... a waste of four good hours ....
