Brian Shaw and Michael Malone are still available. Hopefully they stay available until after next season but I have 2 questions.

1. Kyrie is in love with Scott and even has called him his "basketball dad" so how will Kyrie take it?
2. Going into the offseason of 2014 how can we get a superstar to sign if we have no known coach all the while having such a young team?

Been a Byron supporter until now. He's just not a great coach. I can see the awful rotations and bad decisions now once this team makes it to the playoffs and we continue to go ape shit. I think we had a 27 point lead at one time I believe. How the fuck does a coach let that go bye-bye? Playing Luke and Boobie overtime.

We couldn't get a superstar to sign here if Jesus was our head coach. Get real.

He played Gibson 14 minutes. That's it. 14.

Here's a better question, how do players let that happen? Like, how do you let a team steamroll you that hard that quickly?

Hire away Rick Adelman. Like we should have 6 years ago.

Yeah but you know what superstar I'm talking about. Will Lebron come here if we bring in a young inexperienced coach along with having a very young inexperienced team?

Posted this in the game thread, but it's relevant here:

This might not have much to do with this game specifically, but when was the last time Scott got tossed from a game? Whenever his teams gets absolutely screwed, he just stands there and says nothing. He just refuses to get into the refs face no matter how bad the officiating is. Stand up for your players once in a while for God's sake.

I don't think Byron is going anywhere. He will get the benefit of the doubt because he stuck around when this team couldn't beat a D-League team. He deserves to have the opportunity to coach this team into a contender. Yes, he leaves some things to be desired, for sure, but a severe lack of talent is why this team lost tonight. Outside of playing the starters for the entire game, the Cavs were doomed with Walton, Casspi, and Gibson having to get some-what significant time and none of those guys are consistent NBA caliber players....

This one is odd to me. There is a team that actually wanted to make the playoffs this year, paid money like it, and yet have 23 wins. One more than us.

Yea, they've had injuries, big ones. But, ugh, so have we. So why does Adelman get a pass on this but Byron doesn't?

Why do people assume the decision will be LeBron's?

Gilbert knew what he was doing when he hired Byron Scott when it was tank time.

What a genius.

When it comes to winning time, Scott will be gone.

Spoelstra was the Heats coach when he went there. Its more about the roster than the coach. Spo was hated and mocked by most people before the LeBron era.

Scott was hired to take the team all the way. otherwise he wouldnt of been brought on because grant didnt want to bring in a short term guy to fill the coaching spot.

Grant has also stated that he considers this year 2 of the build meaning next year is year three so Scott will get another two years.

Scott has proven twice with gutter teams that if he gets the right pieces he can turn them around quickly.

although Scott isnt quite in preseason mode anymore he still ha s the developer hat on.

Yeah but Spo had Pat Riley and Dwyane Wade backing him and Spo had a crappy Miami team the year before over achieve in the playoffs.
