I always thought the triple-double attempt vs. the Jazz was a little overblown. Childish? Yes. Selfish? Sure. But that was only the Cavs 12th win that year and they blew out a playoff team at home. I'm sure Ricky got caught up in the moment and made a dumb mistake. Countless other players have done a lot worse in their personal lives and aren't labeled as villians the way Ricky was.
Honestly, I was mostly entertained by Ricky. I went to more games than I care to admit between 2000-2003 (luckily, most were free tickets) and Andre Miller, Ricky Davis, and a young Boozer (pre-backstabbing) were the lone bright spots in a bleak basketball future pre-LeBron.
And if you're gonna point out bad things about Ricky, it's only fair to point out some good things too. He did supply fans in both Cleveland and Boston with free season tickets for being dedicated fans. "Ricky's Renegades" in Cleveland and the "Get Buckets Brigade" in Boston.
