Ring of Power Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I have to say I'm really liking that they're introducing characters that aren't mentioned at this part of the story but not actually messing up the lore.

I have strong suspicions who the evil elf is and if I'm right, I love it.

Well I thought the Stranger was Bombadil but that "not all who wander are lost" song does strongly point to it being Gandalf, can't lie.

Gonna stick with Bombadil though.

This show has become really good.

And now I need to know the lore/history between Galadriel and
Sauron
. Anyone got any good sources for that?

If what I read is accurate, then the writers made it all up out of thin air. In Tolkien's Middle Earth, she was happily married, with a not-dead husband and daughter (Elrond's wife, actually) when she/they first encountered
Sauron in disguise.
While he fooled a lot of other elves at first, she was suspicious right from the start and never trusted him.

So I suppose next season, they might decide to have
Sauron
engage in a torrid love affair with Gandalf to salve his broken heart. I mean...why not?

There's bold and then there's reckless haha.

With that said, I can certainly understand and appreciate why purists hate this show.

It's a shame the first couple episodes were as bad as they were.

I really enjoyed this. Thought the reveal was great in the final episode and can't wait for season 2. I'm a moderate Tolkien guy so I think the show is aimed at my level of familiarity
