Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Very tanksicious at the end. Not the first time they have done that either lol

Luke Walton couldn't play in Europe.

All hail the great Byron Scott.

Where is Dan Gilbert???? Drinking at the casino?

Sad.

All part of the Tank, my man... all part of the Tank.

Yeah man, Byron drew up the play well. Get it into Tyler on the three point line, he doesn't know what to do so he shoots a brick up which leads to an uncontested layup. Genius!!!

I hate Luke Walton, and although I've been a huge Byron supporter he's making me sick. Not a fan of relegating Dion to the bench, really sick of his use of Walton, disgusted by our team defense...

I assume people are joking about Byron tanking...he's not doing a lot of these things on purpose, I can guarantee you that.

No, this team was doomed by stupid turnovers in the 4th quarter.

Hence the reason I said late game execution. That turnover on that pass from Kyrie to Gee just about sealed it.

How many times do we have to go through this...

YOU NEED TO ATTEMPT A FUCKING THREE IN THAT SITUATION TO GIVE YOURSELF A FUCKING CHANCE. STOP RELYING ON THE OTHER TEAM TO MISS FREE THROWS.

I'm convinced it's not about the tank, it is Scott just being an idiot.

I can understand blaming Byron Scott for a lot of things, but having Waiters come off the bench really isn't a bad idea. He was more effective and aggressive, and ended up playing more minutes than CJ Miles anyway. It's really not a big deal.

Irving and Waiters playing together is going to take some surrrious time.

waiters and irving remind me on a much different level of LBJ and Wade in their first year together at miami. So they can play together, but it is going to take time, and probably much more time than the miami guys since the cavs guys are at just beginning their careers while wade and lbj were already developed their games.

Just a few observations

1. Thomas Robinson...like, he WAS a top-5 pick, right?

2. Kyrie Irving pretty much lost that game at the end. Two really bad turnovers followed by an inability to guard Aaron Brooks.

3. Tyler Zeller just has no shot at guarding these big guys right now. Sooooo weak.

4. I'm really finding it hard to be upset with the players when the organization is actively tanking by holding our best players out for weeks on end with paper cuts and hang nails.

Yes. That's exactly it.

I thought Kyrie didn't do too bad with Aaron. The guy had to make a really hard banking layup from 6-8 feet out in order to score.

Overall, Kyrie's defensive effort was much better tonight. Two things that give me hope for Kyrie eventually becoming a good if not great defender:

1. His drive to be the best

2. His smarts and basketball IQ to figure out how to get it done eventually

I think that, by next season, he'll be a much better all-around player.

Some of the problems with Kyrie's defense could be corrected if Coach Scott would stop insisting that his guards go over the top of the high screen. More often than not this causes them to be out of position by the time they fight over the top of it. This also puts added pressure on our big men to either leave their own guys to step up for support defense, or don't leave their own guys and allow a mid-range jumper or an easy route to the bucket.

I figured they were going to try Dion off the bench at some point, especially with Miles earning more minutes.

Glad to see him do well and excel in the role given to him. If we did draft a prototypical SG like Bazz or McLemore, he would be the perfect 6th man for this team with his skill set. Not saying the kid can't start, but you can see where he could really have the potential to just come off the bench and destroy a teams second unit.
