Series Ten - Oakland A's vs. Cleveland Indians - May 3, 4, 5

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Tribe loses this series- I just don't see Tomlin and Gomez beating Cahill and Anderson.

I do believe both Carmona and Tomlin will win and pitch real good. Gomez cconcerns me and I think I would feel better with Alex White. :)

***BULLSHIT***

The tickets are affordable, just eat dinner before you go. People talk about not being able to afford and were in this "recession". Why is it that restaurants are all ways jam packed?

Showing your obvious ignorance of what is going on in the U.S. today. People are going to eat before they spend money on a Tribe game. You know, you can watch it on TV for free.

Family of 4 people buys 4 tickets. Even 4 cheap bleacher seats. That's 40 bucks right there. Gas. Depending on how far away, that could push you up to $55-$60 dollars. Parking, up to around $70. $70 WITHOUT any food or drink MINIMUM. That is a lot of money for a lot of people right now.

Yeah, and it's not really ONLY that... because we're assuming some "families" are going more than once a season.

If you plan to fill the stadium, we have to assume people are going to go to multiple games so they could fill the seats... if you get what I'm saying, idk

At least we don't play at Muni anymore... 75,000 butts to fill the seats with? Yeah. Fucking. Right.

Which is why you eat/drink BEFORE you leave.

Still Foolio, $70-80 for a family is a lot of money for people without jobs or a single income family.

I understand that college students such as I, that when we get out of school will be able to go to games for significantly less money (purchase cheap upper deck tickets); but that cannot happen until we are out of school. And in my case, that won't be until June.

However, my situation doesn't matter, because I get 12 free club (AYCE) tickets a week :D oops.

Upper deck tickets are the best. The best.

If Tomlin can keep himself in a pitcher's duel, the Indians win that game. Gomez might need a prayer or two...

If the Tribe scores 2+ runs in any given game this series, they have a viable shot at winning each one.

I hope you are not being serious? I've been a baseball fan of Cleveland for years, all sports, and went to many games just a few years ago, making the 2 hour drive. Sometimes I'd stay at a hotel and see the weekend games, and sometimes I would drive up and drive back home same day or night. I LOVE the Tribe. I have not and cannot at this time go to a game. Do you realize how many of us are now unemployed? Do you think we would forego the grocery store or our bills and spend that scarce money on gasoline and tickets? Nope. Won't happen. It costs more than a couple dollars to attend an Indians game for me. Heck, the $15 parking, or whatever it might be this year is lots of money if you don't have a damn job.

I guess its easier for me than. I live like 15 minutes away from The Jake. I don't pay for parking either, I park for free but you just have to walk a lil bit. I save money and watch a good baseball game. Food and drinks are overrated ata baseball game. They just want to much damn money because they know you'll buy it.

I guess people in the City of Cleveland just doesn't care about baseball. Even if we had Albert Pujols, we'll still see the usual 14,000.

I am now convinced that ReAL DeAL knows nothing about the ReAL WoRLD

I would love to go to games. Can't even afford to think about paying for the gas it would take to go to the games. Best shot is planning a turnpike trip to see the inlaws to happen before a game begins but that won't be happening till mid/late june since we will be going to Ytown this weekend while they are away.

And I am sure that many more people don't have the cash to decide between 1nights entertainment or 1 week of food. Especially when that entertainment can be viewed with any basic cable package that most of us are subscribers too.

Just because the seats are empty doesn't mean we have a fan base that rivals that of the Miami Heat. Shrinking community. High end unemployment/debt + Shrinking market=YOUR 2011 CLEVELAND INDIANS FAN BASE. Learn to deal with would be my advice. Or start offering to buy tickets for people, if you want to see people in the seats.

Lol, I was thinking about sending some tweets to some of the players, asking if they would pitch in to donate some tickets for the games. They make millions, and while it isn't their responsibility for US to come out and support THEM, it would definitely help some of the less "fortunate."

Saying that... jhard is my hero <3 he likes/enjoys everything I post :)

Park at a meter. Free after 6 PM and on weekends. Get down there a little early and you shouldn't have much trouble finding one. If you're real early (say 5 PM), you can bite the bullet and pay a dollar or so for the hour, then you're set. Bring something to eat, or pick up something cheap. Chill at panini's or wherever until you head over and catch some BP. I've worked this plan to perfection many times. Case in point, I went to a half price student ID game, paid $4 for a ticket, brought food, and parked at a meter. So in that scenario I spent about $8 on gas (yes that will vary obviously), and $4 on a ticket for a grand total of $12. If you are a college aged person, do this with a group of friends, and if you're into it get a little sauced at the bars before the game, and it's one hell of a good time for a reasonable price. Families, I can see it being a little tough to get out to games together, but young people paying for only themselves, no excuse. Plus with young people come the rowdy crowds that are actually into the game. Step it up college kids, I know finals gotta be over soon.

Either that or your rep begging finally payed off.

You guys talk like its hard to go to a indians game, but people went to cavs game and browns games. There may be less people who can go but there was stil 20k some people who were going to the cavs games, and a lot more going to browns games.

This thread was better when we talked about the team, not attendance.
