It's pretty simple and been already mentioned. Martin's contract and injury problems make him a player you don't want to trade for.
Martin really isn't a great rebounder either.
 
Martin is overpaid by about 30 million dollars over the next 6 years. Definately not the type of player you want to trade for. Maybe if he had like 3 years on his contract it would be different.
 
He was beastin last night...At this point, contract sizes are irrelevent, the Cavs are going to be so far over the cap after next year it wont matter.
 
It does matter Mac. As much as Gilbert is spending up, he is unlikely to be overly keen to pay the luxury tax. On top of that if you are to pay it, you dont want Martin to be the reason. He is definately an upgrade over Gooden, but I dont want to touch that contract.
 
I wasnt really saying take Martin in, Im just talking contracts in general.
 
If you are gonna pay the luxury tax, its gotta be a situation where you are holding a group of good young players together, and you want to keep them. To go and commit to take on that much of a contract for K-mart, who simply isnt a franchise type player, is a bad move.
