So Long, Jadeveon Clowney

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Probably just agent talk to burnish his image a bit.

I hope for Baker’s sake, the rumor of not wanting to play in the same locker room as Baker isn’t true.

But at the same time, oh boy would that be funny agent talk.

This really isnt good. If we know this, every GM knows this, we are going to have to eat almost all 19 mill. I thought he would be tradeable and get a late pick, but the more we know, the worse this gets

I'm going to call bullshit...Brad just taking shots at Baker (again).

How is there no 2021 clowney highlight packages on YouTube?? Browns YouTube letting me down.

Not only is it huge for Wright, it’s huge for Winovich.

He’s sort of become an afterthought, but as the rotational edge, being able to play him outside of Clowney on obvious passing downs, or even to spell either, is a massive, massive bonus.

Last year, when Takk was alone, the line noticeably struggled. This year, they reasonably have a four end rotation. Awesome.

Obvious passing downs...

Down to clown. Supremely pleased this man remains a Brown!

I was at that game. I'm pretty sure Clowney entered Concussion Protocol after that one. Which was weird because we barley noticed him on the field that day. I honestly don't remember him being in on too many plays to even get hurt.

So, we were game planning for Lamar or Huntley and then on game day went with whatever option they choose. He flat out refused which is almost as bad as refusing to enter the game. Played a season low number of snaps and then entered concussion protocol. Missed the game against NO which was a pretty important game although you can argue that the defense didn't miss him all that much that day. Maybe he could've stopped a few Taysom Hill runs IDK.

Then, even after the team already knew what was up in the BAL game they still dress him and play him against WAS even after our playoff hopes were already done. So the only real reason to even bring him back after the stunt he pulled against BAL and putting him in Concussion Protocol and letting him play against WAS that I can think of is to allow him to play and reach any escalators in his contracts like snaps or stats.

Now my super conspiracy guess is that after the WAS game it was probably clear to the team and to Clowney that Clowney wouldn't reach any of those escalators this season with just 1 game remaining so instead of playing in the final game with a chance to reach those escalators like he did in the finale last season against CIN when he had his best game of the entire season, Clowney decided to lash out basically quit on the team. It has a slightly similar feel to how Baker ended his season after his final game against PIT when he had the very selfish post game pressor and threw shots at coaches (KS) and teammates (James Hudson).

That's basically what I think happened.

Woods can be bad at his job and Clowney can be a selfish, me-first prick. Both things can be true at the same time. It's not an ether or.

Tony Grossi is bad at his job and a selfish, me-first prick.
