It is nearly impossible to text while driving, on an app that keeps closing. This should explain a lot.
Keys and every one else rating that post funny : I get it, we signed almost every one from the finals team. But how would you but expect anything other than that? We can give each and every one of them the most money and the best shot at winning. It would be ridiculous if we didn't do at the very LEAST that. It's like thrOwing a party because water came out when you turned on the shower
ther teams improving, why can't we?
The Spurs needed to improve their team to even reach the second round of the playoffs and to stabilize the future for when Duncan and Manu retire.
And they literally only could do it because Duncan is at an age that he is willing to take way much less money than his production merits.
The Cavs simply needed to get healthy and retain their team to be a favorite, if not the favorite, against whatever team they face in any round of the playoffs, including the finals.
But they added Mo. And they will make further additions. They took on a level of financial burden to retain and ADD to the team that no none crazy Russian in the NBA has ever come close to.
And on top of that, you KNOW that in terms of FA all they had to work with was the tax payer MLE and the vet min.
So given that, how can you be underwhelmed or act like they're not improving the team?
Again, I get 'boring' or 'not unexpected' offseason, but underwhelming.
And in terms of the Haywood exception its one thing for people to float mostly pipe dream ideas like Gay/DeRozan, etc. But have those guys been moved? No. Where they likely to be moved. No. If they were moved, it would have been for talent or picks. Look at the trades tat have been made this offseason and tell me which one we should have got in on with Haywood and in a way that would have also satisfied what the other team was asking for.
If you are underwhelmed or disappointed with the offseason and where its heading, its because of three things:
1. You're expectations where not in line with the reality of the tools of acquisition we have available to us
2. You're severely undervaluing what we actually have already on the team and instead acting like you expect Kyrie and Love(I'll grant you Andy) to be both out every NBA Finals
3. You're impatient as the offseason is not even over yet.
And for a bonus: You want to talk about teams that should be underwhelmed? How about the Chicago Bulls. Lost to us without Love and with half Kyrie and have done NOTHING.
Atlanta Hawks. Swept by us with no Love and half Kyrie and have tread water at best by losing Carroll and gaining Splitter.
And lets not even get started about the Clippers. Or how about OKC. Since they seem to constantly have one of KD or Russ injured, shouldn't they be making these bold improving moves to make themselves injury proof.
Crazy how someone who has followed Cleveland sports as long as you do can not see how good we have it and the reality of our team in relation to the rest of the NBA
And don't you dare TL;DR me. If you're going to come into this Mo reunion party full of fireworks and confetti with your head hung low talking about the underwhelming Cavs offseason a whole, you're going to take the time to read this whole damn post
