Terrance West - Traded to Titans

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I cut Tate and developed West in my Madden franchise and he's a freaking beast. I'm glad he's showing that kind of talent on the real field as well.

Also, Chris Kirksey went from a 68 to a 93 in one season in my franchise, he's a monster. I wouldn't mind that one coming true either.

I think I am okay with this kid as the long term RB. I feel a odd feeling for the RB position. We have a three headed monster there with kid leading the way.

Terrence West had 90 yards from scrimmage Sunday, the first rookie running back with at least 90 yards from scrimmage in Weeks 1 and 2 since 2008 (Chris Johnson and Matt Forte).

Not a bad group to be apart of. Hopefully this kid turns into something special.

At 5-foot-10, 225 pounds, West is sometimes labeled a bruiser. He has looked like one this year, earning 2.91 yards after contact per attempt, good for seventh most in the league. However, he has more speed and shiftiness here than you might expect. He has three carries for at least 15 yards. Only four backs -- Alfred Morris, Andre Ellington, DeMarco Murray and Bobby Rainey -- have more. He also has caused eight missed tackles, eighth most among running backs. Missed tackles are different from broken tackles. A missed tackle is when a defender totally whiffs because he has been juked, a broken tackle is when a ballcarrier runs through or over a defender. West is making guys miss, not purely mowing them down.

ZBS makes another guy look like a stud.

I'm sorry, but bench this guy until further notice. He is killing the team for personal gain.

No one wants to hear your sob story about losing carries.

How many GD times did I see West lose 1-2 yards yesterday on second and short or third and short situations because he refused to run North for the easy gain in an attempt for a home run ball?

I lost count.

Edit:

And furthermore...

Jesus with this kid... Go for the home-run some more and become another wasted Browns pick... Wasn't it like two weeks ago where guys were told that they just need to play the scheme? (Yeah, I know, it was on defense :chuckle:) Still... It's selfish as hell to try to hit a home-run on a short-yardage situation. Goodbye to a carry or 5 next week.

Ah.... I was looking for this thread. I am reposting my joke from the other thread....

Terrance West? More like Terrance East-West!!

I'll be here all week folks....

We know. :chuckle:

Just in case, though, I'll be here to verify that.:coffee:

I like West, and he clearly screwed up here. But I also think that's something of a product of there not really being enough carries to go around. Guys don't play much, and they think they have to make a splash with every opportunity or they won't get more time. The result is trying to do too much.

Not really blaming anyone -- it just is what it is.

I think benching him might have had the opposite effect last week.

Could Cleveland Browns running back Terrance West be on the move?

A source familiar with the team's thinking told Around The NFL on Saturday that the Browns have fielded offers for the former third-round pick.

West was not among the players cut by the Browns as they trimmed their roster to 53 players Saturday, but there's still a chance he could be released or traded.

Over 79 snaps this preseason, West racked up 113 yards over 31 carries. West displayed some characteristics of a lead back, but is stuck in a rotation with Isaiah Crowell. Browns head coach Mike Pettine recently hinted that Crowell took the lead between both backs, and the team will eventually expect some production from rookie Duke Johnson. Johnson is currently going through concussion protocol.

West, who averaged almost four yards per carry during his rookie season in 2014, could be a valued asset depending on how teams stack their depth chart following roster downsizing.

UPDATE: The Houston Texans are one of the teams interested in West, according to NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport:
