Terrance West - Traded to Titans

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'd take a look at Jonas Gray. I don't want Ray Rice, he is washed up. He was terrible his last year in 2013. We're talking about a running back that's not played in 2 years, and was already on the decline. Pass.

Surprised about Gray getting cut. Shit, he's limited as a running back but proven to be pretty productive. Basically only runs north and south. But as you can see last year, you put him behind a productive line in NE, which we look to have, he can be productive.

4.6 yards per carry is nothing to sneeze at.

Love this pick. Read & react is the staple for a ZBS and West was one if not the best RB in this draft for that. Excellent between the tackles, has size, speed and power. Can catch & block, so he has the ability to become a 3 down back.

The biggest thing for him is balance & staying low. Not that he can't, just needs to be more consistent.

Great scouting report, Mayock.

Whenever a Cleveland player gets traded, we hear nothing but negativity as they go. Hey, he wasn't terrible. He was a solid pass protector and decent gaining positive yards on first and second down. It seemed like he butted heads with people and had some issues being in a committee situation, but he was productive enough for there to be a trade market.

Best of luck to him getting workhorse carries in Tennessee - job is wide open.

I have been and will continue to be a big Farmer supporter. I think the guy knows talent when he sees it, but I think he needs to be a better judge of character.

You can live with some missed draft picks - every team has them. But we've now hit/missed on the following:

2014:
Gilbert - miss
Manziel - miss
Bitonio - hit
Kirksey - hit
West - miss
Desir - looks like a hit
UDFA
Crow - looks like a hit
K'Waun - hit

2015:
We already know Mayle is a miss. The rest are TBD.

I'm still in the air about Farmer, but I've said this before. I think this year's draft might prove to be our best in a really long time.

I'm with ya on Farmer. I generally like him but you can't miss on first rounders and so far Gilbert and Manziels have MAJOR question marks next to their names. You also don't want to see day 2 guys struggle in year 2.

I'm not huge on Erving and I'm saving my judgement but I haven't loved what I've seen from him yet. Shelton was my pick from the start and he's everything and more thus far.

Agreed. That said, it doesn't matter much to me where the talent comes from so long as you're still acquiring talent whether that is in round 1 or UDFA.

Even so, yes he needs to make up for those colossal misfires.

We don't even know if Manziel was his pick. It's going to be on his resume, but I think that gaffe belongs to Haslam.

To be fair about West, this could blow up in our faces. He has the talent to be pretty damn good. He's just a goof, a bone head.

He was great value for a 7th rounder for the Titans. That's a good trade for them. If he get's his shit together, he's a productive back in this league.

I am a little surprised the Browns cut him loose for that low of value. But he was either A.) becoming that big of a problem child and they just had enough, or B.) they just valued someone more than him that they want on this roster.

I somewhat agree but you have to capitalize on 1st round picks. Those are the building blocks for the team. The UDFA and late round guys are the quality depth with the occasional diamond in the rough.

Yeah, those selections are looking to be as bad as the Weeden and Richardson picks.

That's just a terrible draft. If you're going to bomb on one, at least hit on the other.

I don't have any confidence in Gilbert being good. I never had any confidence in Manziel.
