The 2016 Tank Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I wonder how far away Shon Coleman is from taking over the RT spot. I was hoping him or Drango would take either the RG or RT spot, but Hue went with the veterans. I saw PFF rated Thomas, Bitonio and Greco highly, but no mention of Erving or Pastzor. Griffin really needs to get the ball out quicker and try to get some throws to the middle of the field. I think long-term that the Browns WR's will be fine (assuming Gordon has his shit together, which is a huge long shot) and Duke should see more touches. If Gary isnt catches passes like he usually does, then our tight ends start to look awful.

So many here thinking about future QB's like RG3 is a bum. Maybe I'm messed up in the head but I see him long term.

Lets see what happens. Lots of other area's we know needs fixed.

We got are butts beat today however I thought RG3 looked good. Dropped passes tipped pass and poor D. I don't feel any QB could help us today.

You could swap RG3 for Wentz today and still get are ass kicked

RGIII was bad yesterday... and I say this as someone hoping and praying he turns into a franchise QB so we can focus on the non-QB studs at the top of this draft.

He was missing receivers left and right. Yeah he had some dropped passes but he wasn't even close to accurate. His biggest pass play to Coleman was a lollipop that was only completed because Coleman made a great adjustment to the ball and the DBs didn't see it.

I can say this much... we'd probably still have lost if we had Wentz but I'd feel a LOT better about our future today than I do now.

Here ya go ya damned animals

Nassib was 71.6 and RG3 was 41.8

Wentz was 86.6

If this regime doesn't solve the QB problem soon they aren't going to survive. And by "soon" I mean, like, next year. If they go 6-26 or 7-25 in their first two years without coming up with a solution to the QB issue it's highly likely we're going to be looking for a new front office and coaching staff.

The regime that finds the true QB of the future will be the one that sticks.

I dont agree. I think they were promised 4 years no matter what and i think that is what we will see. Our issue has been either hiring the compete wrong regime, or not letting a regime have 4 years to turn things around. Cut that 4 years short, and this plan will never work.

We have 2 years to draft a qb so the qb can be good in his 2nd year.

Would you guys literally suck his dick after each Browns loss this year if it guaranteed the Browns would get him and a true franchise Quarterback in this year's draft?

@Lee @Rob

Um, no, its not that important to me.

Feel the same exact way, both in the hoping and praying part as well as the assessment of his play yesterday. I'll call it a toss-up for me in terms of my biggest disappointment -- either RGIII's play or the absolutely absurd and very un-NFL playcalling on offense, particularly at the start. Looked like a gameplan a team would throw together on the fly if they lost all of their QBs and their punter in a plan crash on the way to the game. But I digress.

RGIII was inaccurate and unaware for most of the game. He seemed to completely lack any semblance of pocket awareness. On the one hand, the line didn't do him any favors, but on the other, he often had no idea where to move within the space he did have, dropping too far back, not stepping up into space, not shuffling away from the pressure, nor an internal alarm sounding to tell him to get rid of the ball. When you try to explain "feel" in terms of a QB's movement and decisions in the pocket, film of Robert yesterday would provide a good antonym.

There was a weird mix of ultra conservative check downs and gunslinger throws into coverage. He showed far better touch on a lot of his throws in the preseason, so maybe this was nerves and frustration, particularly at the end. The truck stick attempt going out of bounds at the end was like frustration incarnate, in my opinion.

Hoping next week we simplify things, cut out the garbage tricks, and just run some wind sprints down the field and throw it up there. If we're gonna be awful, might as well have some fun doing it.

Nothing in this ownership's past actions gives me any confidence at all that they're just going to give this regime four years no matter what. Not that they should get four years no matter what anyway.

How much money would the rest of the city have to pay you to suck 16 dicks so we get a franchise QB?

Serious question. Everyone should answer

Can you provide more details on these dicks? Is it 16 all at once? In a row? A dick a day for half a month? Do you have veto power over the dicks or is it just complete luck of the draw?

What type of pubic grooming situation can we expect? Oh, and the finish. What's required there?

Just completely impossible to even begin to answer this without more info.

Fair questions.

One dick a week, continent upon a loss.

The grooming is a mixed bag.

Has to finish, or hit a 15 minute timer

That's 6 hours of cumulative dick sucking potentially

I have no idea how this conversation came about. But if someone needs to suck 16 dicks to save humanity or some shit, I got us covered.

Who the hell is going to want these jobs other than what we currently have on staff?

I can't see, say, Urban Meyer being lured away from OSU to suffer another mental breakdown coaching this team. You're gonna get stuck with another Mike Pettine type who is over his head or some other shitty coach that won't know what he's doing.

You may as well just stick with this guy. If he loses the locker room, or he gets arrested? Then yes, we can talk about firing him. But for now? Keep him for the duration of his contract. Same with the GM, same with DePodesta.

The more I think about this the more I'm convinced it shouldn't be the city paying for this, but the Browns themselves. We need to put a stop to the public funding of NFL dick sucking.

So to answer your question: one practice squad salary.
