The Brian Hoyer thread...

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I could have sworn another team had their best lineman mirror watt earlier this year.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk at your local pub.
My guess is the team you are thinking about probably used their best blocking TE and moved him to Watt's side every play. I really doubt they moved the LT or RTs around.

How the hell is an offensive lineman supposed to "mirror" a player? Watt can move anywhere he wants pre-snap and offensive linemen can't; what the fuck are they supposed to do about that?

10-4...can't argue with the results. Total clutch guy.

322 yards - must have had a good game.

Do you prefer buttcracks or terrible CD covers Phills? Wait don't tell me, I want you to be surprised.

I'd imagine Keys is due to get some naked Jesuit priest images in his inbox this week.

I knew it was a mistake to click on this thread. I mean yeah, he was terrible today, no doubt.

But he clearly didn't contribute at all to the winning drive either....
playing like crap for 59 minutes and good for 1 minute may be acceptable to you, but it isn't for me, regardless of the result.

Analyzing the three interceptions:

1st one: All on Hoyer. Just a terrible decision. Under-thrown. Totally changed the momentum of the game going into the half. 100 percent Hoyer.

2nd one: Again a terrible decision. Given it was 1st and goal on the 6 and we were running the ball well. Gordon probably should have made more of an effort to at least make it an incomplete pass. 90 percent Hoyer.

3rd one: Miscommunication. Also a bad decision to just heave it up. I'll say 75 percent on Hoyer because I think Gordon didn't run the right route here.

It is one thing to throw INTs. But Hoyer's, especially the first two, were just so costly. Making them seem much worse.

I don't think I said it was acceptable at all. He did not play good. There's like no one that's going to say different.

If people want to continue to drive the witch hunt to get him out of town, that's fine, you can still do that.

Just admitting you're glad he was able to respond when we needed it won't kill ya though.

Totally disagree with most here, I think the only really poor throw Hoyer made was the interception on the underthrow, whereas he made a few really great throws. I feel like many are already forgetting what a truly bad QB looks like, which is kind of amazing considering the consistently horrible QB play we've seen for over a decade. He and Josh just didn't have any chemistry on the deep stuff today, which is to be expected and Josh for sure dogged it on the late back of the endzone INT, as he is wont to do from time to time.
