The Brian Hoyer thread...

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Hoyer is good, and I was as skeptical as anyone about him. He's a nice band-aid to have. He's smart, he's a leader, and he clearly rubs off well on this team.

He's going to start for awhile. Rodgers waited, so can Manziel.

Rejoice, we actually have a QB that can play!

Hoyer is not Favre!

Hoyer has done nothing to lose his job..

And Manziel is nowhere near Rodgers, either, and has not given any indication that he's ready to play or take over for Hoyer..

In no way shape or form was he saying Hoyer was Favre. He said Rodgers sat for a few years and so can Manziel. It is irrelevant to this particular conversation who Rodgers sat behind.

On that first Benjamin TD where he easily dodged the rusher and took a few steps up and released just as the defenders arms came up to hit the ball from behind...

That was glorious.

Clearly dumb luck. He should've nailed the primary read, obviously. :chuckle:

I knew winning would chap some ass in here. We still do need a full game of no-doubt winning, but overcoming the largest deficit in NFL history is pretty fucking cool. It'd be very difficult for me to believe that there are 15 QBs in the league who could do what Hoyer did yesterday.

As was that deep ball to Gabriel

It would be a real shame if people were actually dumb enough to believe this was the case.

Obama is a Muslim level stupid.

Nah.

If someone didn't know you, they'd definitely think you root against the Browns.

There are fans like this in the Indians threads too and it's just obnoxious.

Lets not confuse what you do with what I do.

You'll never be on my level. :chuckle:

You can keep hiding behind the "it was just a joke!!!" sentiment, but the reality is that losing gives you something to bitch about every week.

Winning sort of relegates you to silence.

No, it really doesn't. But whatever makes you feel superior, go for it.

The only joke is pretending that Hoyer is a top 10 QB in the league. Understanding that doesn't make me a bad fan, you simply have a bigger belief in things like "it factor" and "clutch" than I do.

This team has a chance to make the playoffs, and that's fucking awesome. But I'm not going to be stupid and place unfair labels on people just because the team is winning.

Sorry I'm not sorry.

I'll just keep rooting for the Browns to play well, you keep thinking of me while they win because my stance on Brian Hoyer bothers you THAT much.

Hey, I'm not saying you're rooting against the Browns, that's unfair and you won't get that from me.

I also don't think you're unjustified in pointing out the negatives as there has been, as everyone knows, more negative than positive the past 15 years - and that might be the understatement of the century.

What I DO think is that honing in on the shortcomings has become your hallmark. Hey, what the hell, if nothing else it sparks good debate and provides entertainment value so more power to you.

EDIT: I also want to clarify for the umpteenth time that I, in no way, am placing Hoyer in the top 10 category, never have, and there's a chance I never will (hopfully I'm proven wrong). I know we've gone down that road with Gordon in the past. Now THAT I will argue. :chuckle:

So basically you were throwing things around the room? Turned over the couch? Lit the Brian Hoyer effigy you made on fire? :chuckle:
