The Cavs vs Bulls Series

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Bulls depth if they are healthy worries me. They can just thrown a bunch of big man at you constantly.

Meh. We can pull Noah out of the paint with Love and Timofey can both make Gasol work here and there defensively, and completely bother him on the other end. We can also go small and just blow them off the court.

The Cavs won't lose at home in that series, and they'll win at least one or more in Chicago. Cavs in 5 or 6.

You're delusional if you think cavs just go by teams like bulls/hawks. You say cavs go small the bulls can go small too Mirotic can guard stretch 4s and it doesn't look like Love will get constant low post touches. Hell they can put Gibson on him who can guard him in the post/perimeter. "And cavs won't lose at home" is laughable every player on this bulls is playoffs tested this isn't some young team. Also Rose will have played 15-20 games by the time this series starts. The winner of this series will win in 6 or 7 hard fought games.

Wow, Bulls board stupidity reaching new, UNKNOWN dimensions! :chuckle:

- "No amount of talent can overcome LeBron aging another year.

Its over.

Unless Kyrie takes a big step into MVP level conversation, LeBron is not winning another ring after this season. This is THE season for the Cavs."

What did I just read? HELP!
So for Chicago, it's ok to have an often-injured, bad playing Rose, because their team is still very well balanced (which is true of course).

But as soon as James starts to decline a little, it's THE season for the Cavs? Even if playing with two superstars for the foreseeable future? Yeah, ok...

- "You have to also account for the fact that Love and Kyrie are both under-sized/at par SIZE for their positions. This makes shot-making a tougher skill year-over-year. More teams will just put a jumbo defender on Kyrie, thus effectively moving ball-handling, creating pressure on LeBron again - especially in the playoffs."

Ehm, so that would be a bad thing for us because...?
Am I missing something right here?

- "Here's 20 players that are better than Love next season:

PG's : Kyrie, Wall, Rose, Westbrook, Paul, Lillard, Curry
SG's: Jimmy, Harden, Kawahi, Klay
SF's: LeBron, George, Durant
PF's: Bosh, Anthony Davis, Aldridge, Blake
C's: Cousins, Marc Gasol

Thats 20...and thats without guys like Noah, Horford, Melo, Lowry ...all of whom can legitimately fill in the Top 25."

Wow, so he can already come to this conclusion at this point in the season? Without counting in one single playoff game? Props to his Nostradamus abilities.

The bolded part is just laughable...

- LeBron WILL decline next season. That is not debatable.

"How much?" is debatable.

I contend that his ELITE skills - athleticism and defense will become non-ELITE. Still great, but not ELITE. This is actually true of this season as well. He is NOT elite in those 2 areas.

Also, teams with more talent than the Cavs this season:

Bulls
Grizzlies
Clippers
Spurs

-There's just way TOO many variables stacked against Cleveland. That and they gave away a bunch of picks.

We have none of those constraints. Our one constraint is health. Which doesnt look to be an issue this post-season. And which is also a factor for Cleveland ( Varejao's injury cost them 2 first round picks).

- Trust me on this...from a salary perspective we are WAY better positioned than Cleveland is. I wish I could magically transport you to my spreadsheet so I can show it.

And from a team talent perspective, we are way better than the Cavs.

Cavs have to keep on trading salary for salary and hope every trade works out for them. We have PICKS! Plural. With Sactown's pick next in the 2016 draft cycle.

And there is NO ONE on the Cavs roster who can give them what a Niko is gonna give us for years to come. And I am not even looking at Doug - who I think will be a flat out baller.

Our oldest player is better than their oldest player....our youngest prospects are better than their youngest prospects.

ANY WAY you dice it, we have a better outlook than them.

If Love and/or LeBron leave next year...or opt out.....

Cleveland goes back to having to overpay for mediocre talent.

Ok guys, I'm going to stop right here.
I know it already has become very hard to read.
I don't know what to say anymore to the bolded parts in the last paragraph.

Just wanted to show you some very, VERY, delusional posts. Apparently, that's how some Bulls fans feel over there. I know it's crazy, but you gotta admit, it put some smiles upon your face as well! :chuckle:

I agree with like 70-80% of what the Bulls poster has said.

Kevin Love is not a Top 25 player in the NBA, at least not this year.

The Bulls are better positioned for the draft, although, I don't know how relevant that is to winning in the foreseeable future.

The Bulls are better off salary-cap wise, but I disagree that their money is better spent price/performance considering their players are so injury prone and Derrick Rose, their franchise player, is literally made of glass.

But they certainly do draft better than the Cavaliers, and develop talent better than the Cavaliers. They also have a better coaching staff, a better offensive and defensive system (at present), and get more out of their players than we do.

....Simply put, the Bulls, even without Derrick Rose, are a good-to-great team and it's a very well run franchise.

With all that said though, I don't think they are a threat to the Cavaliers this season, next, or the next one after that.

For everything they have going for them, for all the good that it does for their franchise, they'll not likely win the Central division, let alone the Eastern Conference any time soon.

I also find it hilarious just how afraid opposing team's fans are of Kyrie Irving. Amazing how far Kyrie has come.

LeBron at the 4 would run circles around Mirotic. I think the Cavs beat the Bulls handily if they face off in the playoffs.

Every player is playoff tested, you're right and in those tests the one thing that rings clear is that in almost every player playoff tested, including a peak form Derrick Rose, got handled and eliminated by LeBron.

I have no fear of the Bulls at all.

The Bulls would be lucky to make it out of the 1st round.

If lebron is at 4 what's the rest of the line up? Cause they still put Butler on him and you can put Mirotic/Gibson/Noah on Shumpert or Marion whichever you have in there. If you give it to one of them to exploit it Bulls laugh at you for taking the ball out of lebron/Irving's hands. Also I don't see how you can put Love on Gosal he would get abused.

Noah may be an asshole, but at least he's a consistent asshole. I at least have to give him that.

LOL Chicago ain't got shit on us.
We played like shit today and if that was Miami or Brooklyn even we probably would've lost. But we beat the Bulls pretty easily.

The Bulls, including preseason, have beat the Cavs exactly once and that was the game before the all-star game where the guys didn't even care one bit about that game, in addition to it being on the second night of a back to back. Cavs have owned them pre-trade and post-trade..LeBron has personally owned them for years now going back to his Miami days.. and we are all supposed to believe they don't fear the Cavs at all? LOL. I have to give Noah credit, he's the best villain I can remember in the Cavs world since.. I don't know. Bill Laimbeer? We are clearly on a collision course with them and at this point, I embrace it. Giving Chicago, and Noah, the beat down they both so richly deserve will be very, very satisfying. So, keep on flapping your gums Noah. Please.

the only team i fear in the east are the bulls.. they have athleticism and length at every position and they defend well.. they also believe that they can beat the cavs.. it will be a hard fought series against them..
