The Cavs vs Bulls Series

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I think the Boston series is good prep course for the next round. The Celtics are well-coached and they've been tough... I've been impressed w/their competitiveness and maximization of skills. They move the ball too.

The Bulls have the same toughness and more skilled players, but I keep coming back to this... Who is going to consistently score for them late in games? As Boozer said Rose is the only possible candidate for that and I doubt he does it. Lebron and Kyrie are still the two best players. That's why I see the Cavs taking out the Bulls. It seems like every year we hear the same Bulls hype.

Butler.

The difference this year is that this is the first time the Bulls will be healthy this time of the year.

Can't lie, I'm really concened by the Bulls.

Butler is really, really good.

Mirotic is banged up, as is Hinrich.

Rose looks to finally be healthy but they still have some question marks.

With Mirotic especially, the quad strain is dicey. That is an injury you can aggravate very easily.

We'll see if they get through this series and avoid any further issues.

This isn't a pre game 2k menu. The Cavs would force that switch in a heartbeat. Here's a very elementary way of doing so:

JR Smith has the ball up top. LeBron sets a screen (pretty common set for the Cavs). Smith comes off the screen to the top of the key. Either Chicago switches it, allowing LeBron to go to his iso area between the elbow and corner, or Chicago doesn't switch, meaning Mirotic goes under the screen, allowing JR Smith to tee off from 3.

Yeah, Thibs isn't going to do that.

I don't get why people keep saying cavs would just run a pick and roll with lebron/JR. If Mirotic played the PF position cavs would still run the pick and roll with lebron/love. Won't matter what position Mirotic is playing pick and roll will be ran and bulls will defend it as they wiill

Same here, but once we push past the Celtics, I say "bring it".

If we beat the Bulls in round 2, our team will have proven something invaluable to itself... Confidence is contagious and provides tremendous inertia.

If we aren't good enough to take out Chicago in a best of 7 with home court, then we obviously aren't yet ready to tackle the top shelf teams from the WC either. Regroup for next year.

Not to completely discount Boston or Milwaukee, but the Chicago series lies ahead and will be pivotal. We win IT, we win the whole thing...

If we face th celtics the series will be in the hands of Kevin love

There's a whole lot of wisdom and truth in this post Zeus.

I think this is the optimist's healthy way of viewing things.

If we can tackle Chicago, we'd be ready for the Hawks.

Kinda like swinging a weighted bat in the 'on-deck circle.'

I'm fascinated by a Warriors finals because the whole Klay Thompson narrative "They made the right move not trading for Kevin Love"

How does that motivate Kevin?

How does a Steph Curry MVP motivate LeBron James?

It's those factors that could give us a little mental edge.

I'm fairly certain that LeBron is going to strap us to his back in round 2 and take Chicago out singlehandedly if he has to.

I don't know about chicago, they still have issues getting over 100 points and I don't believe we will score less than 100pts in 4 of 7 games.

Bulls averaged over 100 points on the season. They're playing the Bucks this series, but they are the 2nd best regular season defense. Points will come by easier against you guys.

How was that double OT against the worst offense in the playoffs?

Chicago is playing a team that can't score. I'm still not impressed and if Rose's jumper is the biggest defensive concern we have, I'll take my chances.

We're up 3-0. It's the playoffs, we aren't playing the Knicks. The same reason Bulls fans shouldn't get excited because the Celtics are playing you close.

Let's put it this way...it took the Bulls a double overtime game to score ten more points than we scored in a regulation game tonight. Their defense is nowhere near the elite level it was two years ago. Can they legitimately outscore us over a seven game series?

Because they'll have to if they want to beat us.
