The decline of JJ Hickson

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
After the way Hickson is playing tonight, Blazers fans are in for a rude awakening :king:

Hickson had a 29/13/2 game on 13 of 19 shooting. He had some monster ONE-HANDED dunks in the game, too. When the hell did Hickson EVER do a one-handed dunk? Hickson NEVER dunks with one hand. I actually got pissed off when he always tried dunking with two hands when sometimes one hand would be better.

Quick question: If Hickson starts turning into what we thought he could turn into, would anyone be upset that we didn't pick him up?

Hickson's trying to make up time for the missed time lost with the Kings that he could've used on another team building his case for a max contract. :chuckles:

What we should've done is sign Hickson again, and then build up his trade value again and trade him back to the Kings for another 1st, only for them to waive him again. We could just repeatedly keep on selling them their garbage back to them. :chuckles:

Kings are the type of team that would be up for this.

JJ is the kind of player that to some extent defines his own ceiling. But I don't see him as the goto guy on any ring team. In my view Tristan has a higher ceiling than JJ, so when JJ succeeds, I find that encouraging, not frustrating.

The comment about his making up lost time is also important. JJ is at the end of his contract and needs to make a case to get signed anywhere other than D-League

I've never questioned Hickson's ability to accumulate statistics :D

His hands are very small ...he can't palm a ball. Even the one handed dunk he made was bobbling out of his grasp the entire way down. I hope the Blazers situation offers him the structure and disciplne he needs to succeed. Sacramento was the worst place for him, and he quickly folded up in that environment... which I knew would happen.

Ihate how we instantly root against ex cavs players. I know its human nature, but its no nice or right. He seems like a decent enough person. He has maturity problems and defensive rotation problems for sure, but that doesnt make him a bad person. I wish him the best. Hopefully Portland signs him next year and he finds a good role with them.

Guess who picked him up in fantasy yesterday
