Question? Since 1999 is there a team in the NFL that has consistantly hired a worse group of HC's than the Cleveland fn Browns? Chris Palmer? Butch Davis? Romeo Crenell? Pat Shurmur. That group collectively, has to be, by far, thee single worst set of HC's in the NFL by a mile.
My God. I know we've also been fairly devoid of talent most of the time as well. But, that list is just an absolute abomination.
God damnit. This team has talent and should be winning games. Look at what happened to the 49ers once they got a good head coach, they went from 6-10 to 13-3 in ONE SEASON. Obviously we need some upgrades (mostly defense) but Shurmur is holding this team back and Haslam needs to show him the door the second the season ends.
I'm like 75% sure that this team has at least 2 more wins and we're in the hunt for the post season if we have a different head coach.
Fixed it for ya.
It boggles my mind.
How many times today did we see 3rd & 5-8 and we call a 3-5 yd out?! Seriously... It was at least 3 times, if not more.
Again today, with running the ball in the 2 minute drill & wasting time off the clock when you're trying to score.
Going for it on 4th & 2 on your own side of the field. It's literally like he was thinking "Well, they boo'd me when I punted in this situation last time, so I'll go for it here"..
So sick of his overthinking, of his "trying to catch the opponent off guard" moves, and of his "playing not to lose" mentality.
I'm surprised it took 9 games for someone to post this thread
Earlier in the week, the Bull and Fox did a buy/sell segment. One caller did a buy/sell Shurmur taking 1.5 Time Outs because of the play clock. 1 is bad but it happens. 2 is just terrible. He had 3 time outs because they didn't get the play out there in time. 3 times it happened today. It's unspeakable how bad that is. Half of his allowed timeouts today were because he couldn't get the frickin play in on time. It's not like it's this game, it happens every game. At least once if not twice per game he blows a timeout because of this.
I'm so done with this clown. The team under performs every week and he makes some truly bonehead decisions. He's a laughing stock around the league now. I'm not for making changes mid year, but this guy is a disaster. I'd support a move now if they made it.
Saints wont resign Sean Payton. Anyone thinking what I'm thinking?
