Re: Kevin Love

I'm not seeing why Indiana would trade Paul George. Really doubt that happens. Love seems more likely.

Re: Kevin Love

hahaha indy isnt trading paul george and klay isnt getting traded either come on now. PG is blossoming and he is still a young player Golden state is 12 and indiana is 20 in player salary and both are on friendly contracts.

But on kevin love i think he will end up with the bulls as they have so many assits now. Jimmy Butler has come on of late and is in his second year they also have deng, gibson, and the bobcats pick (unprotected in 2016). But there biggest assits is nikola mirotic people are claiming him to be the second comming of dirk. An offer of deng, boozer, mirotic, and bobcats 1st beats any offer we could sniff out.

I think it really depends what Minnesota is looking for. That package from the Bulls doesn't make them a contender. It may not even make them a playoff team in the loaded West. Plus, that deal you proposed wouldn't come close to working financially. Boozer alone is making as much as Love, and Deng makes only slightly less.

If Minnesota does deal Love, there's a good chance they may value financial relief and draft picks more than mediocre, overpaid veterans like Boozer and Deng. We could provide that relief with Walton and Gibson (both expirings), and we could provide plenty of draft picks to give Minny assets going forward. If Minnesota were to deal Love for expirings and draft picks, they'd have a ton of financial flexibility going forward. Without Love on their payroll, they'd have only 4.5 million in guaranteed money in 2014/15.

Re: Kevin Love

I would think they would trade Granger way before George! PG is their best young player, and it would be a shock.
I do think Minni trades Love sometime in the next 12 months, (either over the summer or next trade deadline) I bet they ask for TT, another player and 3 1st rounders. Would it be possible to trade for Love and keep TT? That is the question!

Re: Kevin Love

How about...

Cavs send: Waiters, Zeller, Speights, Sac 1st, Miami 2013 1st, Miami 2015 1st, Cleveland 2015 1st, Orlando 2nd.

Cavs get: Kevin Love

So our last two first round picks plus four additional first round picks for Kevin Love? Fuck that.

How about if we take out our 2015 first and the Orlando 2nd?
That gives them, Speights, Waiters(1 lotto pick), Sac pick (maybe 2nd lotto pick), Zeller(late 1st), Miami 2013(late 1st), Miami 2015(late 1st).
So thats 2 lotto picks and 3 late 1sts plus Speights.

That is a LOT

Didn't Windy say we could do it with just draft picks? (And probably fillers)

Would like to keep Dion & TT if possible.

Re: Kevin Love

I don't get why everyone is so eager to trade Waiters away. Kid is going to be really good.

I think Waiters is a future 6th man. We need more of a shoot and catch guy next to Kyrie, and also I think his skills are better suited to being an alpha. That said, all great teams have a great bench.

Re: Kevin Love

If we get Love, I hope it means we'd deal Varejao to keep cap room open in 2014

Re: Kevin Love

This a deal for this season before the trade deadline? The offseason?

Re: Kevin Love

To be fair about what Windy said, he didn't see these players as possibilities for this trading deadline. He said the Cavs may model the Rockets by accumulating assets and then trying to cash in on a player this summer that teams can no longer afford or a player that they can't afford to resign. Love, George, Thompson are all players that have or are due for big contracts that their teams may not be able to afford.

Waiters is currently one of the better spot-up shooters in the league. He just hasn't learned how to move without the ball yet to get himself open for more spot-up attempts.

Also, I'd much rather have two alpha players than one alpha and a bunch of role-players. We tried that route with LeBron and it failed miserably.

Re: Kevin Love

Like Windy said and Hawkins posted , when such a opportunity comes available the Grant should be able to pounce on such a deal since he has accumilated a lot of picks.
