People who think this is still a decision and hasn't been in the works for years, like last time, are underestimating LeBron at their own peril. After 2010, the idea that he's still some waffling simpleton is completely detached from reality. The tasteless TV special showed a lack of maturity, but the Heat plan was breathtaking, if painful, to watch. Something tells me he has future pretty well planned, as any multimillionaire/mogul worth his salt should. I'm sure he had contingencies based on an assortment of outcomes after last season and now it's just time to execute.

It's more so the other free agents can get out of limbo. Once the big names are placed, the smaller ones can get more money from the teams that missed out. It would be awesome if LeBron came back to Cleveland but at this point I just want this team not to miss out on good free agents because a great one hasn't made up his mind or is trying to get back at the team.

Lol why don't Heat dump the corpse of DWade if they want Melo? Not my problem LBJ is obviously coming back to play with Kyrie Wiggins and who ever else we nab in trades

If they were really smart, they would drop Wde and sell a rebuild around Bosh and James. This is business. But of course, out of some sense of "loyalty" they won't do this. And I'm totally okay with that, since it keeps them hamstrung.

Re: The Lebron Safari 2014

LOL @ Melo to the Heat.

After all of the positioning, re-working, renouncing, yada yada yada the Heat would have to break their necks to accomplish - it would then come down to an even more improbable factor: Melo would need to leave between 30-40 million on the table so that LeBron could make more money than him and Wade could get paid well above his true market value.

It just isn't going to happen. This is the purest form of media speculation I've seen this FA period.

A certain high hit rate insider over on a certain buckeyes site has put his official stamp on the return, says it's come from multiple sources in the org and in the brands.

NevadaBuck weighs in

James is currently in Vegas

I just thought it was a funny tweet in reference to how desensitized people (myself included) are to how much impact free agency decisions have on a person's life. I know I'd never even think about accepting a job in another state without speaking face to face with the people I'd be working for in the next 5 years. I feel like free agents as people sort of gets lost in the shuffle sometimes among the craziness. Not even specifically LBJ either.

Re: The Lebron Safari 2014

I really think if LeBron meets with Riley today, if he informs Riley of his decision, then the Heat will leak the news with some sort of slant on it to multiple sources. And so LeBron will have to go public shortly after that meeting.

If they meet and there's no news in the hours directly following, then I'd imagine no decision was shared with Riley.

Hearing Broussard pronounce the name LeBron James is just irritating
