They might be better off filming as much as possible now before Bran grows a beard, Arya gets her bewbies, and all of the Maesters die off.

Benioff and Weiss had a pretty straightforward attitude towards this. You can't stop it, so why not just suspend disbelief that if seasons can be long in this universe, why can't puberty be short? Kids just grow up fast.

So I've had friends keep asking me "How the hell do you not watch Game of Thrones?" Especially since I was the one obsessed with Tolkien and that genre growing up.

So I started watching Monday. And I'm not sure how it happened but I watched all three seasons and the premiere of Season 4. :chuckles:

Great stuff, will be joining the party.

So I started watching Monday. And I'm not sure how it happened but I watched all three seasons and the premiere of Season 4. :chuckles:

Personally, I think Martin's writing is vastly superior to Tolkien's. Reading Tolkien is like reading an encyclopedia. Reading Martin is like "OH MY GOD EVERYONE IS DEAD!" Big difference.

Props to Tolkien for basically creating the modern fantasy genre...I just think there are a whole lot of guys who have done it better since, with Martin being the best.

I prefer Martin to Tolkien as well, but I don't think ASOIAF could exist without what Tolkien did first. Anyway pumped for tonight, should be a great episode :chuckles:

Hmm, Martin is better at creating suspense, but man Tolkien knew how to move a story along at a better pace. That's important.
