Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Really lackluster for me.

I'm behind on this, but there are rumors of there now being 8 books? Good lord.

I just read the 4th and found myself somewhat bored.

Excited to see this episode though. Figured I'd watch the Spurs/Heat first though.

I felt like I just watched a 50 minute movie. I feel like the only complaint people could make about this episode was how short it was. Didn't game of thrones episodes use to be like 57-59 minutes long or am I just remembering wrong? There was some differences from the book, but I don't think they were negative differences. All the big moments happened, and the major characters were preserved. Tormund will still be there for Jon to use as a Wildling diplomat. Allister will still be there for the Choosing. Gilly and the baby are there for the baby swap. Maybe they could have cut the Maester Aemon and Sam scene early in the episode but it wouldn't have saved enough time to do the Stannis part at the end, which I really wanted. I just hope that Stannis saving the day doesn't get over shadowed. It would have been a perfect book end to this dramatic battle where it looks like the Watch is doomed, but with the crazy shit happening next week, I think it won't get the attention it deserves.

Seriously. Next week we have Lady Stoneheart reveal, Tyrion/Jaime/Tywin shit which should take up a lot of the episode, Arya/Hound, apparently Cersei has a scene with Tywin, Daenerys season wrap up, whatever else I'm missing...now we have to squeeze in fucking Stannis at the Wall and the rest of the Wildling battle? Um....

Hopefully the episode really is 66 minutes long.

Yea, I have no clue why they didn't end this episode with Stannis considering all the shit that should happen in the finale.

Why is HBOGO shitting on me right now? Been using it all year and now they tell me I'm not subscribed to HBO. Go to directv.com and they tell me I am and am paying for it. THIS IS HOW YOU GET PEOPLE TO PIRATE YOUR SHIT.

I'm just hoping they don't end the season with Daenarys, like last season. I want a stronger ending.

They have ended every season with Dany, I suspect the trend will continue.

Season 2 ended with the walkers.

But yeah, awesome episode. Only bummed because the ending of the battle is going to be thrown in with the other million things in the finale.

Enjoyed Alliser and Jon before the battle. I really like Alliser, for a moment it was almost a budding bromance.

I know Alliser and Jon never become buds but at least he has honor, unlike a douche like Janos who defies Jon even when he is Lord Commander.

Also, why the fuck dey kill Pyp. Wut.

So, you know, either next week's episode is going to be one adrenaline rush after another, or shit getting pushed back a season.

Now, anyone have the preview of next week or know where I can see it? Cause HBOGO is giving it to me right now

I mean it looks like Bran even might find the Children. So we've got that, Stannis ariving at the wall, Tyrion being a boss, Arya escaping, Lady Stoneheart, and something going on with Dany? Good heavens that's going to be insane shit.

Do we even know for sure if Stoneheart is in? Besides some cryptic Lena Headey tweet?

I'm starting to seriously wonder. Heady could be trolling or it could simply could be just a woman tweeting a picture of a heart

Great episode last night. It looks like the Lord Commander elections are going to get pushed back to next season, which I am okay with. It will provide a nice "hell yeah" moment during the first couple of episodes of the season, much like Joffrey's death this year. I loved that moment last night with Pyp and Sam where Pyp kills the guy with the crossbow and Sam asks, "Is it over?" Hilarious. John Bradley is so perfect as Sam, even if the character is different (and better) than the book version.

It's pretty incredible how much better this show can be visually now compared to previous seasons. This episode just dwarfs Blackwater in scope and effects, and that episode was awesome.

No one knows for sure. I read an interview with Michelle Fairley where she refused to comment on it, which leads me to believe it will probably be in, but much like Drogo's reappearance in the House of the Undying sequence (which no one leaked beforehand), this has been kept entirely under wraps.

Bran definitely finds the Children. Both Bloodraven and one of the Children were confirmed to be cast this year. Or at least it was confirmed that two actors were cast and all the die hard fans figured out their roles.

I agree --like him from the beginning. And I really like the dynamic between him and Gilley -- it's really believable, and that girl does a fantastic job.

Heresy here, but I wasn't a huge fan of Blackwater. The filming just seemed cramped to me, with the set being dark so as to hide the fact that it really was on a small scale. This was much better, in part because simulating a large scale attack on a huge city is going to be much tougher than the much smaller scale action with the wildings attacking Castle Black from the south. And actually, I thought the attack from the North looked rather weak. Maybe only 100-200 guys, and looked like it.
