The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread (includes spoilers)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
They can make more seasons, I know the writers only want to do 8. However, if the money is right they will sign for several more. Everybody has a price, hbo just needs to find that price point.

Well Arthur Dayne would likely know Jon's true parentage, that would certainly answer the biggest question in GoT. I want even aware there was a chance he was still around.

There's not. He's dead. Ned killed him at the Tower of Joy.

He would be cast in a flashback.

Yeah.

So are they doing a cold open Tower of Joy flashback to start next season? Holy shit if so. The dialogue in that dream Ned had should be used to the letter. It was so perfect.

Extending beyond the contracted number of seasons gives every actor the ability to hold things up by demanding more money. I don't think HBO will go down that road.

I never said they would, but rather said they could. They also showed that they don't care about changing actors in certain instances.

I've been wanting to state for a while, GRRM is struggling to finish these books. If you check out his blog you will see he has canceled appearances to write.

I've seen and read interviews where he appears extremely stressed. Complains of writers block and says he thinks everything he takes to publisher is junk.

Frightening to think of him in this way when we book readers trust him so much. But the game has changed now. He's literally in a corner and I hope the influences don't ruin the greatest fictional tale of our time.

Harry Potter is already complete so that's one less thing you have to worry about.

And I never said they couldn't. I just said they wouldn't. And they already cited actor contracts as a reason they won't.

I expect an elongated and split Season Seven, 14-16 episodes, ala Breaking Bad.

Gonna watch the death again on my PC, but I thought I caught his eyes getting brighter, or a reflection in his eyes getting brighter.

Yup, there's definitely a reflection of light that appears when the camera gets to a certain distance from Jon. It all comes down to whether you think that's a plot device or not.

I read someone say it looked like a turn towards Targaryan purple in his eyes. I watched it a few times and didn't see that at all. Then again, all scenes shot at The Wall were done with a color mask or whatever, so it was basically in black and white.
