Done with book 3.

Just keeps throwing me for a loop all the time.

I have book 4 and I know I need to buy book 5 when I'm done, but I have this terrible feeling the author is going to go all Sopranos on me and have a shit ball ending

Gotta always twist some shit doesn't he? Jon could inherit Winterfell as he was made an heir by Robb and then offered by Stannis, instead, he's stuck as Lord of the Night's Watch. I saw some of the theories that he was Azor reborn, but I always assumed that was Dany Targarean. I guess we'll see. WTF, now Cat has been revived, probably by Thoros. I'm a little pissed that Arya left Sandor. I know he's not the best character, but he was an excellent grotesque and was starting to grow on me. I'm sure he won't die yet but still. Now Sansa is left with that little worm Petyr and who knows what the fuck he's going to do to her. Can't wait to dig in to book 4 here tonight. I'm seriously pissed about serials though. I like to have a story from start to finish. I hate waiting on the next episode, but that's what sells these books though I guess.

I see what you were talking about with book 4 Cmstophe. Mother fucker took all the characters I didn't really care about and left out all the ones I did. I'm guessing 5 will be better as it will talk about Jon and Dany while this one just seems to center around the Lannisters, Brienne, and the Dornishmen.

I guess Jon, Stannis and the Onion Knight, Tyrion, Danaerys, and everyone cool will be written about in book 5. Fuck, Samwell is a huge character in this book.

As far as my favorite POV. I really don't have one, but I tend to pull more towards the Starks (all of them including Snow), Dany, Tyrion, and the Hound. I really hope they do more with the hound as I love his character and the author breaks him open little by little so it's like discovering a new character every time they dive in to him.

Don't be discouraged. AFFC is still really good even though you have to wait until ADWD to find out what us going on with Tyrion, Daenerys, Jon, Davos, etc during that same time (they are parallel books if you didn't know).

See, I was fine with AFFC because Jaime is my favorite character and he has a lot of chapters in that book if I recall correctly. But if you like the Holy Trinity of Jon, Dany, and Tyrion, well, you gotta trudge through it to get to ADWD. You'll enjoy it still I think.
