The Sony Hack...

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This statement right here and others like it, made out of rage and anger, is a statement that shows me that they won back 2002.

They made this country completely compromise our ethics, morals as well as some freedoms for our attempt at "revenge justice". It is pretty obvious the more it is analyzed

While I do agree context is needed in most things I don't really think there should be any context that would justify the rape a detainee, child or not.

And shoving things up a persons buthole is sodomy, which is a fancy legal term for anal rape.So by typing that first sentence you do in fact support anal rape.

Nothing we didn't already assume, honestly.

Seriously though, fantastic post. I wholeheartedly agree with every point.

Everytime we have this moral debate, it only furthers the thought that this is exactly what they've wanted all along. To say nothing of the fact they can point to the pro-torture side and say "look at what they do to our people" while recruiting hundreds of thousands of Middle Eastern youth who will be schooled in the misconstrued Quran interpretation and further the hatred towards our country and our people.

They're deliberately trolling us by carrying out these heinous attacks because they KNOW this will warrant a response worthy of building recruitment more and more.

I guess I do, then. To a terror suspect, at least.

What the majority of terrorists are after is the US leaving them alone to their own devices to pursue whatever cause they're pursuing. To say that they just want us to compromise our principles leaves a great deal unsaid.

Yes, they know our attacks will give them a recruitment tool. But us getting involved in the first place to stop them from whatever atrocities they're committing is what sets the vicious circle off.

You really can't stop these people, no matter what you do.

You can't stop the Breivik guy in Sweden that went on a shooting rampage and killed dozens of innocent kids at a youth camp, because his opinions don't make any sense from an objective, humanitarian worldview. He hated Muslims and felt Sweden was actively bringing in Muslims and allowing them to take control of their state. He was wrong. But he FUNDAMENTALLY believed in his position and believed that anyone who didn't believe the same deserved to die. He's insane.

The same goes for these radical Muslims that want to impose sharia and dominate the world. Sharia doesn't make sense from a humanitarian worldview. Killing women and children doesn't make any sense. Forcing innocent people to believe in things or murdering them doesn't make any sense. It isn't right and you can say that pretty objectively.

You can't stop ISIS or the Taliban by attacking them, but you can't stop them by negotiating either. They are laser focused on things that simply don't compute to the worldview of the majority of the world.

So just leave them to their own devices I guess. And wait til they're big enough to pose a threat and hope they never get organized enough to cause damage to us.

Right?

I knew that terrorism would be roped back around to being the fault of America.. We already covered that in this thread.

Yeah.

And I say that to say...whether we torture them or not, the results will be the same. They'll commit atrocities in furtherance of their cause, even if they get their wish and America is wiped off the face of the Earth.

So just as we shouldn't mince words and pretend sticking something up someone's ass isn't sodomy, we shouldn't pretend that any other methods we take will land us a different result.

If you're referring to me, I agree with you. I also agree that it is sodomy and am ok with the CIA conducting acts of sodomy upon terror suspects.

I agree, I want suspects of any crime to be tortured until they admit to the crime they are suspected of doing, which will then prove that this is a valid tactic in gaining information.

We could start a thread about peanut butter. It will go from Jif, to Dave coming in here talking about dogs eating PB out of a girls ass, to PB in the ass, back to torturing by putting food up ass.

It's a full circle. But yes, don't we already have a ISIS thread?

The thing that is most interesting about this attack is that it could easily be perpetrated against the government or anyone else besides Sony.

We always thought, "Well they have missiles that can hit Japan or South Korea, so let's not provoke them, but they actually aren't sophisticated enough to touch us over here." They are though, and a dumb movie has proved it.

Someone pointed out that it was sodomy no matter which way you stuff it.

I don't really care one way or the other when it comes to terrorists from a "stop terror" standpoint. I don't think torture is proven to work and we can't stop these animals from behaving the way they do regardless of what kind of information we gather from them anyways. Objectively, it's wrong to torture people but frankly...I really like justice. To me, if you commit murder, rape or molestation you shouldn't have any rights and I'd like to think people that do will suffer for the remainder of their lives. If that means sodomy and lack of sleep...so be it.

About what???

That Sony made the right call for Sony, dummy.

Fuck no. They just lost $200M. I would have made $300M off of this. Just mothballing this thing is moronic. If the theaters were backing out then come up with an alternate distribution method...let people buy it online, stream it, pay per view it, use their Crackle thing. I'd buy it twice just as a "fuck you" to the hackers. This is a shitty precedent. Free speech and privacy are dead.

I like when Obama called Franco Flacco. Classic Ron Swanson technique.
