The "What are you playing now?" Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I think they did, but a lot of content was cut because the game was taking forever finish and Konami was getting impatient.
They had planned for it but they were taking years upon years and they still weren't even close and astronomically over budget

Yeah, I can see it from Konamis view. They destroyed a lot of good will though by exited the AAA game industry. So a lot of people wont cut them any slack as they are the holder of beloved ip's that presumably wont see the light of day going forward.

Don't know anything else about them but the Kojima situation sucked. He didn't even want to make the games anymore and Konami didn't care how good they came out.

His new project looks sick but it's gonna take a decade probably

Yeah, he's a "perfectionist." Final fantasy xv also took like a decade to release. Games do take way longer and more money to produce now. SO if you hit any snags it just drags on.

Still progressing slowly through Red Dead.

Man, the mechanics for movement are actually kind of wack. Like I run into people/things unnecessarily all the time. I can't be the only one. And they should let you move faster in camp. At least a fast walk man.

Also, shooting people's hats off so much is annoying. Like you aren't that good of a shot. Those bullets should be going through people's skulls. Cool, I shot 5 people's hats off in a row. Thanks for rewarding my aim.

I've actually become really good at the game and kinda broke it in a way. Especially in the PVP aspect.

I have the never without one ability card, and my hat protects my head for one headshot, it's basically a helmet and a warning someone is trying to kill me.

I also use slow and steady, and 2 health abilities.

I drink a lot of snake oil, health cures, the game is all about tonics and deadeye, and the right abilities equipped (maxed of course).

For example, I'll go into deadeye mode after i drink a potent snake oil and it'll fortify me, I'll eat about 6-7 headshots i swear while popping everybody charging me and listening to crying rage, getting voted out of lobbies and such. I can't help it that I figured the game out in a cheesy manner.

The upgraded Litchfield is a very good gun to beat the tanky builds, but you must know how to drink your oils, health cures, and dominate deadeye. Lancaster was my go to PVP gun before rockstar updated the Litchfield.

When I run into good players, I bring the explosive rounds out. Best investment in the game although you only get a small sample size. But you can dominate a feud.

I haven't played online yet. I'm waiting until I finish the story. I think I'm about done. So good to know.

Just had a fun surreal moment playing God of War where the kid was complaining about hearing voices that Kratos couldn't hear and there were people yelling in the hallway outside my apartment (couldn't make out words, just the yelling) and I couldn't tell if it was in the game or not. Had to pause to figure it out. :chuckle:

Also, goddamn this game is fucking gorgeous.

Man the game play in mgs5 is just phenomenal. I really wish they had invested in the story line and put in more cutscenes and bosses. Had so much potential
FYI - Peace Walker is basically a prequel to MGS 5. It introduces a lot of the characters and its events are referenced quite a bit in MGS 5.

How is online in general btw? Is it pretty toxic? Or does it just depend on the server.

How does deadeye work online since I'm sure it doesn't slow time?

Online is fun, addicting, aggravating, and etc.

Free roam is alright until you meet a griefer fucking with you while you're hunting, fishing, having a full horse.

The showdown series large is where you rank up faster and make the most of your time, but you have to win some games mixed with coming in top 3 to maximize your profits.

Lobbies could be toxic with the occasional shit talker, and that guy playing music loudly. That's where you just mute somebody.

Deadeye is game-changing. Especially with slow and steady because you take more damage while its activated. Buying and farming snake oil is your best friend. You'll definitely be better than the average player if you focus on using deadeye.

The 'Express' bullets are also the better bullets to use right now.

Got a bit further in Spider-Man. Game gets a lot more fun once you get used to the dumb controls which for whatever reason are slightly different than the Batman controls despite basically having identical combat. It's like they changed the buttons around a bit just to be assholes. Still find myself trying to counter with triangle and getting shot constantly, though. :chuckle:
