The "What are you playing now?" Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Anyone play Hearthstone? Obviously I'm late to the game here, but I basically had no idea it existed and got sucked in about two weeks ago.

As a huge Blizzard and Warcraft fanboy, I picked it up for a little bit while sitting on my ass out of the hospital for 7 months last year and nothing to do.

Just didn't dig it at all. But maybe I didn't give it a full chance. I like Blizzard's style and I was hoping to like it as it'd be something fun to play on my iPad out and about. Might give it another go.

I think it's worth giving it another shot. Its hard to stop once you get going, and it seems like they have added a lot of stuff recently.

They just opened up Tavern Brawl this week that is pretty fun. I dunno. I'm digging it a lot. I was also surprised how competitive I was able to be in ranked play so early, even with a crappy deck. I feel like once you start adding some decent cards, your interest will really pick up.

Been playing a ton of Elder Scrolls online. It's no Skyrim, but it's pretty fun.

Got home from my trip and downloaded my copy of Arkham Knight. Seems solid so far. The performance issues on the PC version are legit. It's not unplayable or anything, but every now and then the game just freezes for a second or two like it's going to crash, but then it just resumes as normal. Seems to happen most when I'm in the Batmobile or entering a new area. Hasn't happened yet during melee combat.

Game looks really good graphically, though, and the city itself seems really huge. I haven't had the time to really learn my way around or anything yet, so it's tough to say how big the world is for sure. Batmobile combat and puzzles provide a fun new gameplay element too, even if the combat itself is pretty easy. I've only died once in vehicle combat, and that was during the first boss fight when I didn't realize there was a sideways dodge mechanic that is basically required in that fight.

Can't really comment much on the story yet since I'm still so early in the game. Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill are typically awesome as Batman and the Joker (I'll avoid going into Hamill's role for spoiler's sake), and the majority of the rest of the cast are great as well.

It's my main game haha. I've always enjoyed card games, and not having to sit through a smelly card shop on a Friday night to play fun games was the main draw for me. I'm also a big Blizzard fan, so I had to give it a shot.

At this point, I keep up with the meta game and have essentially every card I'd ever want. Never have time to push all the way to legend though (you're looking at playing over 1000 games in a month to do it), but I always finish rank 3 or better on ladder.

Battletag is Cassity14#1187 if you want to add me. If you're still new to the game, I can definitely give out some pointers.

Awesome. Yeah I'll add you. I'm still new obviously but I'm picking it up. Trying not to spend money and just do F2P as much as possible, but I did buy Naxx which was super fun.

Haven't laddered above level 17 yet, but then again I just started like three weeks ago. Haha. I'll take any pointers you've got.

You did the right thing buying Naxx. You're pretty much SOL without it. BRM getting to that point, but you can probably wait a bit yet before buying it.

Like any card game, the longer this thing goes on, the more difficult it becomes to play/buy into. I'm glad I got in on the ground floor during open beta.

Yeah I'm sure. I loved card games when I was younger, but never much kept up with it and just played regular video games instead.

But man this is a blast. Kind of a bummer that Naxx and BRM are pricey to get the whole thing, but it's less than half the price of an Xbox game and I haven't bought a new Xbox game in ages so I figure this makes up for it. :chuckle:

Was that your whole battletag? With the # and everything?

Playing it on the xbone and its great. Hasnt lagged yet and really impressive detail to the game world. Although it seems a bit batmobile heavy through the first few hours

Yeah, the Batmobile gameplay seems a bit forced at times. It's like they said, "Well, we developed this shit, so players are damned sure going to use it." The most forced aspect is the Riddler's sudden interest in Batmobile races and puzzles. I don't really mind the puzzles because they are fun and challenging, but the races aren't really that great.

I generally suck at driving so i end up having to take a few goes, which winds me up. The combat system makes up for it though
