The "What are you playing now?" Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Just downloaded the old turn based strategy game Panzer General 2.

For everyone playing Outlast, the one reason I would want a PS4 instead of my Xbox One is to play that game. My computer can't handle it either.

I never finished it but I enjoyed what I played of it.

And not finishing it isn't really a damning indictment from me. I don't finish most games I play, especially insanely long ones like Kingdoms. Part of the problem is that I'm the type who tries to do every side quest, and inevitably something else will come out before I finish a lengthy game like Kingdoms and I'll move on to that one instead.

If you like action RPGs, it's worth playing. The combat is fun and the story is serviceable. I've heard the difficulty curve is a bit wonky, and that the game is insanely easy by the time you reach the latter stages of the game because your character is so powerful. I can't vouch for that personally, though.

The difficulty curve doesn't bode well since I also find the beginning to be insanely easy:

Yeah I didn't have any issues either. To me the gameplay was pretty fun, though, despite not being terribly challenging. The world was also well-designed and interesting, and different enough from your average fantasy world to be unique.

Not a great game, but definitely a good one.

Kingdoms of Amalur was recently on a steam sale. I thought long and hard about it, but passed. I have tons of games still in my back log. Also my medical expenses are making me a little more frugal than before. Being diabetic is actually quite expensive. I really wanted to upgrade my comp recently, but that will just have to wait unfortunately. I think I am going to finish up shadowrun returns and saints row the third. Then i'll move on to darksiders 1 and 2. I also have hitman absolution, mark of the ninja, trine 2.... So I have enough to keep myself busy. Oh yeah, I also have sleeping dogs that I was playing before.

Just wait until you get to Saints Row 4. That was easily one of the most fun games I've ever played. Significantly better than the third game in just about every way, and a perfect culmination of a series that went from a boring GTA clone to a wacky parody of gaming in general. I mean, in the opening level (which repeatedly makes fun of Call of Duty, complete with your character being a silent protagonist), you disarm a nuclear bomb while it's flying toward its target to the tune of an Aerosmith song. Just brilliant stuff.

You passed on KOA? Grave mistake my friend. Game is crazy good.

I am playing lots of Civilization 5 brave new world right now..... www.humblebundle.com has it on sale for 15.01 if anyone wants it. I am very much looking forward to Banished that comes out on the 18th

Going to spoil the ending of the second episode of Wolf Among Us, so don't read the section below if you haven't finished it yet.

After thinking on it a bit, I'm no longer totally convinced that Crane is the killer, which was obviously the implication of episode two's ending. He seemed genuinely upset at the beginning of the game when you have the conversation with him about Snow being dead, and he's usually such an insufferable prick that it definitely did seem legit. I'm starting to think that the hooker was killed after he left. I mean, if he really wanted to kill her, he's one of the few people with literally every opportunity to do so. He's around her all day. Further, would he really be dumb enough to leave a package of pictures in the murder room with his photo in it? Seems like a frame job to me.

Thoughts from anyone who has played it?

I tend to agree.
The first thing I thought was "OK, why not just kill the real Snow at any point prior? Maybe the answer is in the original material somewhere, but doesn't make much sense. Where is he going to hide now? Was he responsible for all of the deaths? Doesn't really compute. Would make more sense for Blackbeard or someone else to set him up. I'm still convinced that the Tweedles and Woodsman are red herrings too.

Anyone here use Scuf controllers? Apparently they released a rough date for their ps4 controller, I'm anxiously awaiting the xboxone scuf for Titanfall.

Like jack said, it will be on sale again and i'll see where I am with my back log. I have bought sooo many games on the cheap with steam that I actually need to play a few of them before I add anymore games.

I have my eye on saints row 4. I was hoping I could snag it for 15 dollars or less. Perhaps when the summer or spring sale comes up the price will drop that far?

Ok, so the witcher 2 enhanced edition is 3.99 on steam right now.... You aren't going to find greater value than this. I absolutely love the witcher series.

I'm really digging KOA, great time eater when I'm not sending out job applications and shit like that.

Should be getting tomb raider tomorrow. I'm looking at picking up thief and maybe another game once I get my full tilt monies back.
