The "What are you playing now?" Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Bought this game at the steam sale, can't wait!

Game is one of the best games I've ever played. Straight up... If you like the storytelling, point and click genre of old, then this is a great game because the story is just so fantastic and deep.. You will care about the characters and their outcomes and you have a real, direct, effect on how events unfold even across "episodes."

Does the story change significantly based on choices, or is it on rails?

There are multiple endings to each episode which do affect the next episode you play.

To give you an example, a character might die in one episode and they are no longer in any future episodes.. this does affect the story.

I honestly wish every game in this style had a similar rewind mechanic. It's nice to be able to redo choices you make in the heat of the moment to see which immediate outcome you like the best, or just to see what they all look like. I don't think it breaks the game either, because you still can't go back further than one choice, and you have to ultimately choose one to live with without knowing the full consequences anyway. It also doesn't hurt the replay value, because you still have no clue how other choices would have impacted future events. I just like to be able to experiment in the moment and see how characters would have reacted had I said something different.

And obviously I don't think that other games in this style should make the main character aware that they're rewinding time. It works here because it's a part of the narrative, but I'd just generally like to see Telltale-style games adopt the rewind component.

Quicksave/Quickload.. ;)

Quicksave/Quickload.. ;)

I don't think most Telltale games have that feature. It's all autosave.

I was talking specifically about these "choose your own adventure" style games, not games in general.

@Pyro is this gonna be a remaster? Or improved graphics? Or is it gonna just be purely a carbon copy of the originals (as in, no different than playing on GBC) ?

Exact same games as the originals, except you can trade/battle over local wireless.

And you better believe I am picking one up.

What do you mean by "local wireless"

Like I could trade with someone else using my wifi?
Or I could trade with anyone in the world?

I think by "local wireless" he means "local wireless".

Meaning people on your wifi

You can trade with people in the same room with you.

I am playing at the moment. TheatreRythem FF, SMT4, XCX and XC3D, Mario Maker. BB,FO4, MGS5, FFX-HD, Radiant Historia, and finally Animal Crossing New Leaf.

dang might have to pick up a 3ds just for that lol

I've also been having the itch to pick up an original xbox again just to mess around with.

If I played my 3DS, like at all, I would be allll over that pokemon deal just for nostalgia. Hell I'm tempted now and I know i would hardly play it lol
