This team has disgraced CLEVELAND tonight

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I had to stay off the forums last night as I was completely beside myself (as I'm sure just about all of us were).

I watched the game from home last night, and went from a brief few moments of feeling excitement and vengeance when the Cavs were fighting and playing hard early in the 1st quarter (mainly the two Hickson monster dunks).

Then after that all I remember is staring at the TV blankly, my mouth wide open and drooping low out of disgust. I saw a group of clowns out there that had no clue. No heart, no drive, ugly turnovers, settling for jumpers, no penetration, attrocious shooting, no ball movement, missed free throws, no defensive intensity, no hard fouls... and everything else that went wrong.

I felt sorry for the fans that made a day out of this. Ditching work, bar hopping, spending loads of money on tickets, concessions, apparel, coming up with creative chants, giving their heart and soul to terrorize LeBron and the Heat at the Q. The blue collar Cleveland people once again had all of this rage and emotion bottled up inside. They were given a chance to release it all in unison on national TV. A win would have meant the world, heck, looking back on it, even a Cavs loss but a nail biter of a game would have meant the world. It would have brought closure. It would have said to the world that the Cavs still do exist, and without LeBron we still survive and prevail.

Instead, the worst happened. I don't need to go into all of the bloody details. I'm way late on a story that broke over 12 hours ago. But like those at the Q last night, I too needed to come on here and vent my frustration. I haven't lost faith in the Cavaliers, but I have lost faith in the current roster after the 'betrayal' part 2 that was experienced. I wanted to give these guys a chance, but no NBA team can thrive with a group of players that are so limited talent wise, and so weak mentally. You had the guys last night that didn't have a prior connection to LeBron - - Sessions, Hollins, Graham. They played okay, but were simply unnoticeable. You had LeBron's bitches - - Boobie, Varejao, Jawad (who should all be traded immediately, we aren't going anywhere with them). And you had those who never show up for big games, or are too one dimmensional. On top of that, they are softer than the Charmin I wipe my ass with - - Mo, Parker, J.J. Antawn, Moon.

The biggest slap in the face for me though was none other than head coach Byron Scott. Never before did I feel that a head coach was missing from a big game like last night. I almost missed Mike Brown, and thought atleast with him on the sidelines you would have a coach up and out of his seat looking upset, barking orders at his players, and calling for a hard foul or three. The defense never picked up, and the offensive plan never changed, there is only one person to pin that on. Byron Scott was more detached to the game than anyone else sitting directly to his right. He defended LeBron being at the Cavs bench and egging his players on as 'he always does that'. Then, after the game to baby your players and consider that game just another meaningless regular season game in the process, really made me lose a little bit of hope for him as our future leader. If he doesn't get it, and the players don't get it, then Dan Gilbert needs to blow this mess up and make it right for the fans.

I'd rather watch Harris, Eyenga, Samuels and a bunch of other unknowns form up and give it 100% all night, everynight, instead of watching that dirt I watched on TNT last night.

Thank you for listening.

I'm pissed off but not at LeBron, least not anymore. By the time I collected my thoughts and went to sleep last night I realized the LeBron chapter is now officially closed to me. I've been depressed about it since July, wanted something to happen to change it right away, got on a high after the Heat and Cavs season openers, and smiled ear-to-ear seeing the Heat's struggles last week. But after tonight, I'm not going to care anymore. I'm just not. The dude is a terrific player, he's going to do what's best for him no matter who gets hurt, and continue on his career as he sees fit. It sucks what he did to this city and to the fans, especially knowing he feels nothing about it - but there's no point in caring about it anymore and you're only going to piss yourself off if you think it still matters. I'm over The Decision and the last 7 years.

But I'm at a serious crossing roads with this team right now. I'm just disgusted in all of them - for a game that they should have truly cared about and played with a chip on their shoulder. Instead, they play like complete cowards and proved to not be worthy of the strong fan support they've received already this season. Did they need to knock LeBron on the floor time and time again and pick up flagrant two fouls until no one was left on the bench? No, but they should play like men who have a purpose to be out there, not overpaid clowns that give a shit less. It's disgusting really, I don't know what to say. I'll stay a Cavs fan the remainder of my life, but it's these players that I'm seriously considering turning my back on.

And to anyone that says the fans sucked last night, go fuck yourself with the sharpest object you can find. Seriously, what the fuck would you have done differently? Those fans screamed their lungs out and did everything they could have done - but were completely let down by the one thing that should have kept them going all night, their team. Cleveland fans, for the most part, were about as classy as you can be for that emotional of a game and did everything right in that situation - but if their team isn't going to feed off of them and would rather hug and tell jokes, what the fuck do you expect? Major props to anyone who was there last night who did their part and represented our city well, you were awesome - and you're far better than me if you have plans on going back to the Q to support these guys again anytime soon.

I agree with what you say besides your take on Coach Scott. He knows what this team is. He's looking at it from a basketball perspective. He's not gonna get caught in all the anti-Lebron hysteria which he has no real connection to. He's been in big games before and knows that this isn't a big game, it's game 18 of season 1 with a team that is in rebuilding mode. His job is to get his team to compete at its highest potential and last night it's the players that didn't show up to do this. He stayed calm and grounded and did what he needed to do.

You think Mike Brown wouldn't have been the first one to give Lebron a bear hug? Scott is the man for this team and is taking a patient, realistic approach - no matter what we want him to do. This team is just not at the level to compete against the Miamis, Bostons, LAs, etc.

Hopefully Gilbert leaves a comic sans memo in the locker of each and every player after tonight

he should be as pissed at them for this effort as he was when James bailed

If not moreso...

Fuck Boobie, Fuck JJ, Fuck Jamison, Fuck Jawad, Fuck Jamario, Fuck Andy...

Ramon, Hollins, Samuels, and Harris are too new, and didn't do anything wrong, so they can stay.

THANK YOU MO WILLIAMS! You were the only one representing the name on the front of the jersey last night.

Not a hug, but Scott got a couple of butt taps into the James ass right before tip-off. He does NOT get it.

You guys aren't just realizing that the players don't see things the same way you do?

The only thing that's going to really piss them off is if they feel they're being disrespected on the court.

Agree, but wouldn't that go hand in hand with LeBron basically saying their games weren't good enough to win him a 'ship?

That's the thing we're pissed off at.. it SHOULD have been about the Cavs players vs. LeBron, both figurately & literally.

He told them they weren't good enough to have him on their team & to win him a 'ship.. I don't know about you, but that would piss me the fuck off!

free agents come and go in sports all the time....players don't get pissed about it because they know they could be the next to leave. fans view and players views are completely different

well what do you want them to do? even with all the problems the Heat has had early on the Cavs don't have 1/3 of the talent the Heat do. making frowny faces at LeBron wasn't going to make the game any closer

STFU with that shit Virginia grandpa.

How about show some damn pride for your game, your city, your team, and yourselves?!

It's still unbelievable that Cavs players could sit back as they're getting their asses kicked and the ones doing it are laughing, joking, prancing around the court, and talking trash to your face and you sit there and do nothing about it?
Not one hard foul last night. How about running Lebron or any Heat player into a screen or pick with elbows high? You do something to players who are laughing in your face.

Looks like some initial thoughts about Boobie and Mo may have been a little off. I don't see how any Cav could continue a friendship with Lebron anymore.
My respect for new assistant coach Jamahl Mosley went way up since he appeared to be the only one to tell James when he was in front of the Cavs bench to STFU.

Maybe last night was how the Cavs players decided to welcome Lebron back. Quit and choke in the game to pay tribute to what he did in the playoffs last spring.
I don't care if you lose but in a game like last night you don't go down without a fight and without showing any passion. This team lost fans and some goodwill last night. They get 3 more shots at the Heat. They better be completely different than last night.

What happened last night was that the Cavs justified the "Decision" and made LeQuiter seem like a genius.
