This team has disgraced CLEVELAND tonight

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
That may be how you look at it, but there are alot of people (and they have been calling in) who take the opposite view that the front office guys are bums across the board because of the fact they needed Lebron tonight to confirm for them that they have assembled a junk roster.

The problem has been for years now they have perpetually "seen" more potential in that group than ever was really justified.

It is causing alot of anger out there right now that the people in charge needed 18 games to "see" what the fan base has known all along about the quality of this roster.

There's no doubt that it's a roster tailor-made to fit to help LeBron James succeed. Ultimately, to build that roster, you sacrifice overall talent. Couple that with losing more than just LeBron this summer and you're going to have a subpar team.

In the end, last years Cavs team would probably obliterate the Miami team he's on now which is what makes this really funny.

This was no doubt a transition year and we didn't really do anything to replace what we lost in LeBron, and that's mainly a credit to the smart basketball guys we have because they know this isn't an overnight fix.

This post makes you look like a fucking moron with no sense of context.

The whole point is this, if LeBron wins 6 rings and becomes a top 50 player of all time, nobody really cares. In-fact, if LeBron James has a career that mirrors Scottie Pippen, it's easily one of the most massive disappointments in NBA history.

You have a guy who was supposed to and has the talent to be a top 5 player to ever play this game and all he can muster up is being a less polished Scottie Pippen? Really? That's not a positive trait when you take it in context.

You buy into that Nike/ESPN driven "legacy" bullshit?!? Seriously? Lebron could only be so lucky to have his career mirror Pippen's. You want to WIN period. That's what all the players are there for. The dumbass kiddies talk about that #1 option, #2 option bullshit like it matters. Without Scottie Pippen who the fuck is Michael Jordan? He's a guy putting up video game numbers and LOSING every year...just like Lebron has been doing his whole career. Empty stats and no rings would be a MASSIVE disappointment.

You're still not getting it. Lebron was supposed to be Jordan, the guy the team is built around. Not the Pippen, the crucial no. 2 piece. When the going got tough, Lebron gave up and resigned himself to being no. 2.

And who is the Lakers' Pippen? Gasol? You really think he's as good as Pippen, or even fills the same role and deserves to be called a "Pippen"? There's more than one way to win a championship.

And the problem that Miami is finding out about right now is that it does no good to have a Scottie Pippen if you don't have a Michael Jordan, hell, they don't even have a Horace Grant. They have a 6'11 Steve Kerr as their only big-man.

Interesting that in Wright Thompson's "Believeland" piece, Booby Gibson was portrayed as "the man of the people" who understood and embraced Cleveland. And here tonight, he was one of the biggest perpetrators of the fraternizing with the enemy that left so many Clevelanders feeling disgusted.

Kind of an insult to Kerr there.

Those people calling in are stupid or thinking irrationally (like we're apt to after getting pasted, and being sports fans in general). The front office knows this isn't a good team. You can't change things overnight.

It absolutely matters. Scottie Pippen is remembered nicely, but Michael Jordan is REVERED. He's a legend and he STILL is the face of the NBA.

And this argument would actually matter if there was a Michael Jordan for LeBron to play with and be the Scottie Pippen to. He's such a disappointment that he's playing sidekick to a guy who's not even as good as him and 12-8 proves it. The way people slobber over Miami's talent is appalling at this point considering all it's good for is blowing out bad teams.

Is this a Ban Hammer I see before me?

Wrong night to show up and insult Cleveland Cavalier fans. If posters show up and say the players aren't very good, fine. But the fans? K'mon son.

It's over now. I look at it as a real opportunity. We got a very good look at what this team is. Scott, Grant and Gilbert wanted the first 30-40 games to get a good look at this team and see what they have, and this game shone a spotlight on this team. It's clear we cannot compete with the top teams in this league. It's clear that we don't have enough talent. It's unclear if our young guys are keepers or not. It's clear it's time to move the veterans on and salvage whatever we can get for guys like Jamison, AP and Moon. It's unclear what to do with Andy, Mo and Boobie, but if the right deal is offered, makes no sense at this point not to move them. JJ is really the only must-keep player and that's even debatable at this point - but due to his potential, you gotta hold onto him this year and see what he can do when the keys are handed over to him (when the vets are traded).

It's kind of like when Gilbert accepted that Lebron was gone, he made the most of the opportunity and got the draft picks and exception to salvage the loss. We're at that same point with this team and I'm guessing between now and mid-February, things are going to look quite different at the Q. We're in for a long, bumpy road...

The problem with me becomes.... WHY THE FUCK IS ANYBODY TALKING TO LEBRON. During the game no less.

Absolutely uncalled for and everyone should be scrapped. The only man who didn't... THE MAN EVERYBODY ON THIS FORUM WANTS TO TRADE. Mo Williams.

Honestly, Mo is the man in my book, never even shook hands with the enemy even though he CAME IN with the enemy (literally right behind him).

Good job Mo, you're my only true player of the Cavs full roster.

There is a difference in not being good and not trying to be good.

I'd rearrange the deck chairs for players who WANT to play hard and tough rather than the soft as baby shit players we have now.

Danny Ferry really built a soft team.

It kind of makes me wish we had the old LBJ line-up out there, even though it sucked too.

Eric Snow, Ira Newble, Drew Gooden. Someone is getting knocked on their ass and at the very least there is no love fest on the bench.

Trade 1:
Boobie to SAC
Hassan Whiteside, Omri Caspi to CLE

Trade 2:
Hollins, Andy, JJ, AP, Sessions to San Antonio
George Hill, James Anderson, Tiago Splitter to CLE

Trade 3:
Mo to POR
Batum, Oden, E. Williams to CLE

Clean out all the trash. Start over. If possible, bring in players like Barnes, Noah, Granger who all make their hatred of the traitor well known. build the team for the sole purpose of beating the cHeat.

And I'm drunk out of my mind rought now, so no one would accept those trades.

Can we cut the "Danny Ferry built this team" montage?

This isn't the team Danny Ferry built. The team Danny Ferry built won 60 games and would have obliterated the Lakers in the finals if LeBron James wouldn't have quit on the team. The team Danny Ferry built would lay waste to the pretenders that now reside in Miami and call themselves the "Three Kings". This is not the team Ferry built.
