Tracking the Cavs: '14-'15 Metrics Watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Post updated.

Had far and away the best Offensive rating in the league over the last 15 games.

Oh, and don't look now, but the Jazz are awesome. 10-2 since the break, and have the best defense in the league over that stretch at a CRAZY 92.6

Cavs up to 3rd best offense on the year, defense holding steady.

Also, the freaking Warriors man. Click this link... Their logo is flooding the page. Cavs/Warriors Finals sounds likely.

the thing about thwe warriors is that they dont let up in the fourth and go hard the whole time. It skews things.

Obligatory watch out for spurs and teams that have battled injuries etc. Hawks are better than theyve decided to play since the break.

also, a week by week or 10 game total would be interesting to see alongside the cumulative rankings. Holding pat defense isnt holding pat considering its heavily weighted towards the bottom due to the first 2/3 of the season and we should be climbing if it was holding pat since the trades.

All comes from finally unleashing Gobert instead of letting him be stuck behind Kanter.

Charts updated.

Offense remains otherworldly. Unstoppable.

Defense trending the wrong way.
Coasting for sure. I forget how old our team is now. Moz, Bron, JR, Jones, and Shump have all been here before.

More of the same.

Offense still elite.

Defense kinda middling and ugly-ish, but serviceable.

Those guys are veteran but not old.

didn't know where else to put this but this is pretty fucking ridiculous

We have 7 players in the top 15 net rating in the second half of the season.

The entire top 20 is Cavs, Spurs, Clippers and Warriors.

yea I think were somewhere around 8 of the last 10 keeping opponents under 100

Kyrie overtook Bron for highest usage on the team for the first time all year.

Also, this is pretty great:

I feel like our defense is going to have to improve in order to hoist the trophy. I hope that all of these off days result in a better defensive focus. Even if we are playing more subs in the 4th quarter, then we had better be holding teams to under 50 at half time.

I don't watch all of the games, but it appears to me that we are slacking on defense now more than we were say 20 games ago. There will come a time where our shooters struggle, and when that happens, we need to rely on our defense to keep us in games, maintain leads, or initiate our fast break. I don't think we are going to win a lot of road playoff games in rounds 2+ unless we can shore this up.

10th in defensive efficiency should be good enough with an offense that is possibly the best in the league, or 2nd best behind GSW.
