He has more snaps this year (268) through 8 games than he did last year (234). Usage is practically identical.

Touche - stats are relatively similar, though. Reps doesn't necessarily mean "usage", however. I still think he's a #1 somewhere in the league most definitely.

Given his snap count is up and total touches are just a combined -6 from last year, how else would you define usage lol just admit defeat on this bro.

Kareem is literally a single long run from those rushing stats being identical though... it's not as if he's fallen off some steep cliff, bro.

Think its a Cowboys, Browns battle for Cooks when he gets released.

There is of course probably more to it behind the scenes for Cooks to be this upset, especially since the Texans have been a management disaster for the past couple of seasons. BUT, the dude just signed an extension back in April...

I’m guessing he didn’t expect the team to be this bad after they looked reasonably competent last year. Why they fired Culley for doing better than he had any right to do and brought in Lovie Smith, who hasn’t coached a winning season in a decade, still baffles me.

Unless they hired him specifically to lose games, in which case why bring back Cooks? He’s not a rebuilding piece.

They were pretty terrible last year too. 4 wins, only the Jags and Lions had fewer, with two of those wins vs the Jags. Other 2 wins vs. the Titans and Chargers who turned the ball over multiple times. 3rd worst net points in the league
