Re: Look at Jackasses Who Said, "Trade Kyrie Irving"

Lighten up man, damn. Looks a lot more like a little knock on people than a person attack. You guys are taking the title change way too seriously. Much, much worse stuff gets said among posters here every day. Since when did we get so sensitive around here?

Since I was banned by same moderator for a day or two for a "personal attack", when I asked how much a certain poster was being paid by Mike Brown to post in his defense. This is way worse, not even close. Name calling in these forums is uncalled for period.

Never named any specific poster a jackass. Wondering why negative nancy members can't take a fraction of what players have to take... The entire forum would benefit from posters treating players with some respect, even after losses.

Title stays, perhaps longer now...

Gonna guess there's more to the story of why you got banned. But alright man really think you ought to lighten up. It was a generalization and more of a joke than anything, at least that's how I took it. No one got personally called out. The only personal attack I saw was you calling a mod a jackass...:dunno:

The real reason you was banned... yup you guessed it

This is hilarious, thank you for providing entertainment during my admiralty law class.

This is an internet forum, people troll, attack and make ridic statements. If you don't understand this by now, I think it is time to find another hobby.

That being said I'm hoping the good vibe from our win streak and Dion and Kyrie delivering this weekend really helps this team turn the corner.

Re: Look at Jackasses Who Said, "Trade Kyrie Irving"

Five or six posters have rose up and said, "Hey, how dare you make a blanket statement about shitty posts? Don't you realize I made some of those shitty posts and now I'm offended?"

Amazing. I just remembered the thread as being chalk full of shitty gut reactions after Cavaliers losses. No specifics have been used as examples. This is very revealing... Somebody in undergrad write a psych paper on this...

Nice spin job there.

Maybe there were some terrible reactions after loss, I don't know or care. But shitty posts after loss and the reality that trading Kyrie might be best for this franchise are not one in the same. And the thread title was about trading Kyrie.

You implied every single poster that did not agree with you here is a jackass. I could care less how long you leave it. It just makes the site look bad.

Members here do not make millions of dollars to put effort in, the players DO.

And you don't need to be a negative nancy to see Kyrie has given very very very little effort in some games--and it is not just after losses, nor is it just this year.

Respect the players?!? What are you talking about. If someone is in this forum complaining about Kyrie jogging his way through a game-how is HE respecting the paying fans? How has he respected my season tickets when he was jogging back on D and playing half assed? How many games have you attended in person this year? When you are there live watching it, it is so much worse-at least for me it is.

Re: Look at Jackasses Who Said, "Trade Kyrie Irving"

Avon, if you stand by your posts in the thread, you have nothing to worry about here, do you?

Cavs' back court blew up this weekend on national television. Great weekend for Cavs fans!

Re: Look at Jackasses Who Said, "Trade Kyrie Irving"

Just curious though, why is anybody other than the OP of the thread changing the title of the thread?

Is that common in this forum?

And, why?

Thx.

Re: Look at Jackasses Who Said, "Trade Kyrie Irving"

So let me get this straight...

People are still attempting to justify and even advocate for trading Kyrie?

:chuckles:

Some people man...

Mods have been doing it here for years. We do it because sometimes people need to lighten up. Its a sports forum. The safety of your children doesn't ride on it.

My new shirt.

Can't trade him now. :D

Re: Trading Kyrie Irving

trading Kyrie now could net you Hayward in return. Waiters, Karasev, Hayward, Thompson and Bynum, that's a playoff team right there.
Clinging on to Kyrie because people still hold onto the belief that he is going to be "soooo good" and ignoring everything else is basically treadmill suicide. I seriously do no want to doggy paddle in the rankings with an under-performing PG for 4 years
Hahahaha. He has one of the worst assists per game numbers in the league. PG my ass.
Give me Burke and one of their bigs
And "everyone" has not projected Kyrie as the best PG in the NBA. I wanted to trade him last year when his body language and attitude were just piss poor. And man, that would have been optimal, we could have suckered some team into a huge haul and our TEAM would be the better for it.

Terrible.

Re: Look at Jackasses Who Said, "Trade Kyrie Irving"

ayeeeeeeee. i was just contributing to the thread and venting my frustration at the time. i wasn't serious

pretty sure i have a post in here saying that, the same night . you must of conveniently skipped that one :chuckles:

Re: Look at Jackasses Who Said, "Trade Kyrie Irving"

Only "jackass" I see is the one who changed the thread title. Since it is ok to attack posters personally, I do not expect to be banned here--if I am then the moderator better be as well.

And if you are going to use a glorified scrimmage that had less D than my third graders rec. game yesterday, where they are NOT allowed to steal the ball, as your back drop--well if it makes you feel better, go for it.

The all-star game was a perfect setup for Kyrie- D is optional on both ends, No defense scheming to stop him, No double teams, He played a ton of minutes, had a few hot teammates--and he shot well. But him winning the all-star MVP does nothing to change our 20-33 record, does it? I want the Cavs to win, if Kyrie gets individual awards while we are winning, that is just icing on the cake.

Let's see how he comes out in these next two very winnable game....maybe this will have allowed him to turn a corner, if so, great. But I want to see it in games that count for the Cleveland Cavaliers before I change my mind.

Nothing from the actual all-star game changes why people in this thread were on board for trading him. Nothing. The things he did in that game we knew he could do--it is the other things that we still have no proof-playing D, giving consistent effort every single game, being committed to this team long term, playing WITH his teammates, helping make his teammates better. These things may come, then again they may not. Time will tell. But I do know it is pretty low class of this site to allow a moderator to change a thread title like that.

Wait a minute. They actually have leagues where you aren't allowed to steal the ball?

This world, man.
