Zimmerman's attourney's are stepping down because they have not been able to reach him directly for the last 48 hours.

zimmerman is fucked. if his attorneys thought he was innocent they would stick by him just to get their names out there. the fact that they are bailing raises some serious questions. at the least zimmerman is now a runaway threat and will be arrested sooner rather than later. also why would an innocent man run?

maybe because the entire nation already thinks hes a stone cold killer racist due to the media. id run too, if he is located, theres a serious chance of him getting killed or at the very least beat up.

Uhh... no.

They spent the whole time defending him staunchly after they "quit". Zimmerman is going rogue and doing things that his attorneys are telling him not to do and not staying in contact with them which is why they "quit". I assume when there's a literal bounty on your head you'd get a little crazy.

Frankly, I don't understand why they held a press conference for this. This should have been a private matter and you best believe there are big time attorneys just waiting to take their place.

He's not running, he's hiding and for good reason.

I am pretty much neutral about it because I cant say for sure what happened but it seems very odd to me to be on Zimmerman´s side. Even if he shot in self defence, his wrong decisions still killed a 17 years old boy.

And the 17 year old boy's wrong decision led to the shooting. Both were wrong.. Some people are willing to give Zimmerman the benefit of doubt before calling him a racist and a cold blooded murderer.

Thing is Martin was 6'3 140lb athlete (football player). Zimmerman is 5'8 240lb fat man in his 30s, ya know?

(CBS/AP) CBS News has confirmed that neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman will be charged in the February shooting death of unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Fla.
According to a senior aw enforcement official, the special prosecutor in the case, Angela Corey, is expected to announce later Wednesday afternoon that Zimmerman will face state charges. The number or nature of the charges was not immediately known.

Zimmerman says he shot Martin in self-defense after following the teenager in a Sanford gated community outside Orlando on Feb. 26. He said he was returning to his truck when Martin attacked him and that he shot the unarmed teen during the fight. He was briefly held by police but was not arrested, in part because of Florida's "stand your ground" self-defense law.

The lack of an arrest has led to protests across the nation and spurred a debate about race and the laws of self-defense. Zimmerman's father is white and his mother is Hispanic. Martin was black.

On Tuesday, Zimmerman's attorneys announced they were no longer representing him and that they had not heard from him since Sunday, although he had contacted talk show host Sean Hannity and the special prosecutor.

Earlier Wednesday, Attorney General Eric Holder said that the Justice Department will take appropriate action in the killing of Trayvon Martin if it finds evidence that a federal criminal civil rights crime has been committed.

Holder said the department will conduct a thorough and independent review of the evidence in the Martin matter. One of the department's top priorities, said Holder, is preventing and combating youth violence and victimization.

The Justice Department launched an investigation of the Martin killing three weeks ago.
