Tristan Thompson

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I won't lie, watching Tristan last night made me smile more than that Heat game last season.

Those jumpers :D

We should have drafted Valunciunas, they said.
We should have drafted Faried, they said.
We should have drafted Williams & Knight, they said.

He might be our second best player. Toss up between him and Andy.

Ok so how many pf are better than TT in the NBA, lets say a cap under 25 years old

Athony Davis (looking more and more like the future KG)
Blake Griffin?
Kevin Love?

both are better rebounders defensively but poor overall defenders

feel free to add

Ibaka and Favors are also both promising players (Ryan Anderson too, is a decent player, but I think TT will smoke him this year)

I watched him hold his own, at at times, flat out beat Kevin Garnett last night, arguably the best even to play the position- and he's still rock solid.

TT may be approaching new territory. And like many have stated, hes already my favorite Cavalier. Lets sit back and enjoy this ride.

Just gotta hope he can keep the production up. If that midrange jumper of his keeps looking as smooth as it did last night this becomes much more likely. Having that jumper along with his speed in the post makes him really hard to guard.

Greg Monroe

Not sure I would take Monroe over Tristan at this point. He just hasn't improved at all in the last two years while Tristan's been improving steadily. I want the guy with the higher ceiling, and right now that seems like Tristan.

I can't wait for the day I see "Tristan Thompson (All-Star)" in the thread title.

It may not happen this year, but the way he's going it's gonna happen sometime in his career.

It could be. Farfetched, but possible.

Say there are 12 spots.Forwards & centers only account for 6.

Lebron, Carmelo, and Garnett are locks because of the popularity vote.

That 3 spots for the following:
Pierce
Lopez
Chandler
Deng
Gay
Monroe
George
Boozer/Noah
Horford

Gay, Monroe, & Horford could all miss due to record(& the fact there not exciting at all).

Theres a chance, but last nights performance needs to be more common. That and a few injuries, and he could make it.

I completely forgot they changed the All-Star selections to just "Forwards" and "Guards"...that's disappointing. If they did it by specific position like they used to, he'd have a much better shot.
