If we were a team worried about using Cap Space to sign a Free Agent next year, the numbers being tossed around for Tristan would worry me(as well as for Andy). But he won't sniff cap space for year and Dan has put out all the indicators that he will spend as much as he wants to pursue championships(as well as getting those extra 12-16 playoff home games)

So get TT signed and hope that he gives us value either as a player or as a contract that can be converted into another player in a future trade. But let him walk and you get nothing. Yes you have the other avenues to acquire players that we'll have next year(tax payer MLE, late draft pick, vet min contracts, Haywood contract, Memphis pick) but we don't gain any extra benefit or flexibility by letting him walk.

Sounds like we'll have an answer and a number in a day or two. I think 10 is fair, basically splitting the difference between the two most recently signed extensions from the class of 2011(Markieff Morris and Kemba Walker)

I think you offer TT 3 for 29$ mil then his next contract is up 2 years before KI and the year the new TV deal goes into effect which should help clear out space for that summer to add more pieces to the team while still retaining TT's 7yr vet bird rights

Tristan has definitely improved and I don't cringe when he is on the floor any more, but 4/44 is ridiculous for him. 4/36 is something I could live with I suppose. Otherwise let him test the market and see what offers he gets.

I've told the Hornets numerous times that I'd be an idea 15th man. I'm white, unathletic, can shoot threes, refuse to play defense, but look good in a suit and am more than willing to wave a towel and high five people after dunks. They have yet to offer me a contract.

Utah is really going to regret some of the deals they've made recently IMO

37$ mil+ per year for Favors, Gordon and Burks....not that having a young core is bad but I figured Burks would be the one not getting an extension until the summer depending on Exum
