Tristan Thompson

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I don't know how you can honestly say TT was worse than James Jones or Delly.
Delly was so bad he's not worth mentioning and neither of them played north of 45 minutes. That's right TT played 47 minutes and scored 2 points. Not sure but those points came on one of our first possessions for the whole game. We need a double double from TT. I think he came into this game having recorded 9 straight double doubles (not sure though) we'll need that again.

......he may be the best at switching in the entire NBA....it's part of the reason we're going to pay him the max.

I guess fair enough. But I feel like Kyrie did a good enough job that he didn't need to. Also leaves Kyrie very vulnerable.

Agreed. This is why Blatt should have kept Kyrie on Steph the whole game. He did a good job. Shump drew the assignment after half and for some reason the pick n roll was shredded much more. Then Klay went off.

Gotta give TT a lot of love. His motor is putting immense pressure on the GS frontline. I'm glad the refs are finally calling the face guarding which the opposition have been doing throughout the playoffs in an attempt to box out TT. That shit should be called every play. If you can't box out conventionally, you have no business in the paint.

I don't know whose fault it is, but Tristan needs to stop switching on pick and rolls. It's literally one of the most frustrating things I've seen in my life and he gets scored on 90% of the time.

I'd re-check your statistics.

The reason we switch it all the time is because it works. Tristan, for a big guy, is EXCELLENT at guarding, staying in front of, and contesting guards on a consistent basis and the way we're defending Curry so far shows just how valuable that ability is. It's a big part of our defense and it works.

His body language looked really poor at times last game. He had a tough game, and thinks weren't going his way. Hopefully this win teaches him to forget what has transpired and to keep on grinding. You didn't see LeBron sulk when the refs weren't giving him anything. Tristan is a really smart guy, the game-plan is sound, and he is a huge part of the game-plan. I expect him to bounce back at home after a review of this last game as well as the love and support from his teammates and the fans where toughness and effort doesn't go unnoticed.

Bounced back with a much needed double-double (10-13), this team is a lot more dangerous when he's producing. He's gotta continue hitting those turnaround push shots from 6-10 feet out, he needs to have another option to score rather than dunking over everyone (although that's a pretty great option).

And because it doesn't gets enough credit, TT has been instrumental in putting Golden State's bigs in early foul trouble. One of the announcers commented he's leading the league in drawn loose ball fouls this postseason, which is just remarkable for a guy that started this playoff run coming off the bench.

He was much better tonight, particularly at finishing.

Team keeps leaving him out to dry on those switches though. He can't hang with Curry. They need to stop expecting him to be able to.

I agree he maybe a good perimeter defender as someone mentioned earlier but when it comes to Curry he got burned. Nearly every shot I seen Curry make was guarded by Thompson

Just want to add that tt did great tonight. Just prefer not to see Thompson guard Curry for long stretches like we did in the 4th Q tonight
