Bennett can do that and more if givin the same mins. TT gets so many rebounds because of all the chucking the gaurds do without passing down low. Also he's still catching a lot of his own misses. I do see that he stopped forcing up shots after getting the rebound the last 2 games. He now walks it out.
If given starter minutes AB would match Tristans point total but little else.
I'm slightly amazed at the effort people go through to discredit or just plain ignore Tristan's contributions to this team. This is a 22-year-old PF that's already proven he can consistently give you 30+ minutes a night of good defense and great rebounding. You can't say the same for AB.
Going back to his rookie year TT has started 162 straight games for us. Staying healthy isn't sexy but it's a skill. An incredibly unappreciated skill.
His offense is still improving, and it's encouraging to see stretches like the past 4 games. He's hit a couple 15 footers recently as well, that shot is almost always going to be there for him. He showed confidence in that shot early in the year, I'm positive he can become more comfortable out there in time.
He was billed as a raw prospect that was years away from reaching his ceiling. No one has ever doubted this guys work ethic, and he's shown improvements in his game every year he's been here. You don't give up on young players who have shown as many flashes as TT.
I'm stealing an old stat from Jon but TT had a 27-12 in his second start of his career (second game with 30+ minutes). Roy Hibbert didn't have a 27-12 until his 234th start. Maybe we can show a little patience with our promising young big as well.
