Best thing the Cavs did here was let him go to RFA. Not a team in the world that will give him what he wants, other than maybe the Cavs, and they're not gonna bid against themselves up to that amount. This isn't Eric Bledsoe who would be getting flat out paid on the open market.
They are gonna meet somewhere in the middle. Something that's more than he'd get anywhere else, yet not $14 million outrageous. Probably around $11.5 million to start with performance based incentives that might get him closer to what he wants, but not likely to hit so they don't count against the cap.
