If we get Porter and Oladipo we're basically set at PG, SG, and SF for forever. I wouldn't put it past him to sacrifice a future pick or some other asset to make that happen.

I've pretty much done a 360 on him. Big fan first, then not sure he is a fit, then thinking "fuck it, I don't care." In addition to that sick athletic ability, he's also got that attitude that comes across so strongly in interviews. Intelligence, coupled with that kind of determination that means he will not become anything less than the absolutely best player he can possibly be. He's the kind of guy that changes the way other guys on his team play.
I think Noel's got that same kind of determination, and at a bigger position of need. So I still lean his way. But after Noel and Porter, I'd be happy with VO if we ended up doing some kind of trade.

I think that's fair. What I really liked about Noel was when he was asked about his flaws, he was really upfront about being a work in progress. Didn't seem embarassed at all, and didn't try to claim he was something he wasn't. And the prospect of needing to continue getting better was something that he just completely understood. I just love that kind of maturity.

I don't know if I would get him at number 1, but put me on the Oladipo bandwagon. We need to get him if we can. I have a good feeling about him.

Did you hear the kid on 92.3 today who was on Gilbert's plane to and from the lottery?
He said on the way there, Gilbert was talking about wanting Oladipo. On the way back, after they got the #1, he was talking about Noel.

Grant's going to find a way to leak that our #1 target is Oladipo. Or Noel. Or Porter. Or Alex Len. Maybe even Gobert or Adams.
And Gilbert wouldn't say anything he didn't want to get out into the media. If you want to get a rumor started, bring a fan on the plane and tell him what you want to do at the draft. :chuckles:
