Not a Browns fan, so I'm just an unbiased bystander to all of this. The point that is being missed here is that of all the rookie QBs who started week 1, Weeden had, IMO, the hardest matchup. He has no established playmakers to throw to (Luck has Collie(DNP) and Wayne, RGIII has Garcon, Moss, and Davis, Wilson has Sidney Rice, Braylon, and Zach Miller, and Tannehill is in the same boat as Weeden, though he has Reggie Bush he can dump off to). With that in mind, he went against 2 very good pass rushing DEs (Cole and Babin), 2 very good corners (DRC and Nnamdi), one of the best middle linebackers in the NFL (Ryans), and 2 young safeties that ball hawk (Coleman and Allen) to go along with an Eagles D that had gone through an entire offseason of hearing how bad they were last season. If people are going to complain about Weeden, they should not use Luck and Tannehill as a comparison for how he should play. Luck had a 52.9 QBRTG and 3 picks, below average and not exactly good for the 1st pick in the draft. Tannehill had a 39 QBRTG and 3 picks, again very below average. The best rookie QB not named Robert Griffin III was Russell Wilson, and he had a 62.5 QBRTG, threw 1 pick, and lost a fumble. You guys probably have the youngest offense in the NFL, even with Weeden almost being 30, and your best player IMO, Richardson, is just coming off of surgery and has had limited practice time. Give it time and you will see improvement.
Also, in regards to ET Cassell guy, oh the irony of him complaining that Colt McCoy wasn't given a fair chance to show what he can do (he has played in 21 games) and him saying Weeden is a finished product and he should be benched after 1 game.
